Swordfish A4 5-in-1 Creative Sheets Trimmer

I have been using this cutter for a couple of weeks now, mainly using the perforating blade.On first use I noticed that the cutter housing tended to stick slightly when pushing the cutter. A little light oil on the runner cured that.There was no white line on the rubber cutting surface so lining up the cutter was a little difficult at first but the blade quickly left a mark on the rubber so it was much easier to line up.On the plus side, all of the cutter blades leave a clean sharp cut. It easily perforated 5 sheets of 80gsm paper at the same time and the wavy cut looks pretty good on photographs.The scoring blade took a little getting used to but it did work well after a few practice attempts.The corner cutter works well.I would say that this is made mainly for light work as the rubber surface that the blade presses against is already showing signs of wear with a line cut into it.Also it works best when you draw the blade towards you rather than away as the cutter moves more smoothly that way.

Having previously had and used a Swordfish Edge-320 paper trimmer, I stupidly thought this updatedSwordfish item would be a good replacement. WHAT A MISTAKE. They've done what everyone seems to do these days and that's fiddle with something that wasn't broken and tried to make it "better" by adding in lots of additional features and functions. If you want to cut paper you need to push the blade and simultenously exert considerable downforce onto it whilst, of course, also holding the paper in place by pressing down with the other hand. If you're lucky, you'll slice one sheet of 80gms but more likely, you'll end up with a wobbly, crimped cut. This cutter is PURE CHEAP JUNK. By trying to make it the Jack of all trades, they have ended up creating the Master of None. Swordfish forgot the golden rule .... if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Decided to spend a little extra money to get this trimmer as it sounded good and had good photos.Product is quite innovative with its 4 in 1 blade. Choose from straight cut, wave pattern, perforation or just to score for folding. Simply and safely open the blade housing and turn to the option you desire.Folds in two length ways to store and comes complete with a brilliant corner cutter which rounds off square edges. Tried it on my business cards and they actually look much more impressive.Bad point...Using the trimmer is not so easy. The cutter slides along very stiffly and can jerk causing paper to lift and this screws up the cut. Very annoying as this trimmer is great otherwise.I have persevered for a few days but still the trimmer is stiff and jams midway through cutting.Maybe I got a faulty item, maybe it's just no good at its job?Great item but bear in mind that it struggles to do its job. Personally I wouldn't buy again.

After buying a number of more well known and expensive trimmers and having to return them all because none of them cut straight I am so happy to have finally found this one. It actually cuts straight at 90 degrees! And its so much cheaper than the others that were rubbish in comparison. The measurements are accurate and readable, you can easily see where the blade will cut, its extremely lightweight and the 4 different styles of blades within one head is so useful. The corner cutter is a bonus. I would highly recommend this trimmer.

Doesn’t cut clean lines. Blade could be sharper and more accurate. It either doesn’t cut properly or it isn’t straight. For unimportant projects this does the job of you are not a perfectionist. If it’s for important stuff, save your money.The corner punch is useful but was the cutter doesn’t cut straight it can be difficult to get the corners properly, and it doesn’t hold the cut offs very well, they went all over the place like confetti and very messy

Failed to cut through a single piece of paper on first use. Not up to the job. Had to return it. Poor product but Amazon were a pleasure to deal with regarding the return.

Great trimmer. Especially like the fact that it can be folded down for storage.Nice sharp blade. Perfectly straight cutting lines.

I bought this for the perforator. It was not sharp enough to perforate one piece of paper, never mind 3

don't expect to cut a straight line with it. otherwise, everything is perfect ;)

Really good trimmer. Easy to use, either folded or unfolded. Easy to store. Would recommend this trimmer.

Does exactly what it says it would do. Not exactly the most sturdy item but so far no problems and that is with 3 young boys using it harshly.

Bought this for my wife and she loves it. It took a bit longer to arrive than suggest but as this was ordered just before Christmas I was not surprised.

Great cutter should last a long time. As it feels well built and cuts nicely.

Looks a bit cheap and flimsy but actually works really well so I'm pleased I bought it.Would have no hesitation in using this seller again.
