Q: Does disolving the granules in few drops of water ruin their efficacy?

I don't think so. It pretty much breaks down when it hits the "wet" of the canned cat food, so a little water isn't going to hurt. That's my take on it anyway.

I sprinkle the pellets on the dry food or you can sprinkle on moist food and mix it in. The bottle says to take a pinch of the pellets and then push them into the cat's mouth. If your good at giving a cat a pill then it shouldn't be an issue. Once the pellets are in the mouth try closing the cat's mouth right away and wait a few seconds before releasing. They will swallow most of the pellets and what pellets are left should melt in their mouth. I know you mention the cat is feral and if you feel the cat may bite you then do the sprinkle in dry and moist food. I have been using FCV Protect and a lot of PetAlive products and they really work. Another product to try is Respo-K and this product is pills but you can crush the pill and sprinkle on the dry and wet food.
