Exceeded expectations
Bought because of mostly positive reviews but occasional poor ones - as is the case with most headphones in this price range. However to date extremely pleased, arrived promptly, well packed and all accessories as promised. My hearing is not acute so I may not be the best person to review too critically but the sound through these is high quality to my ears and at the price I paid I think they are superb value.Added May 2016 - One of the earphones became faulty with intermittent sound. I have been extremely happy with these phones having used them daily for over two years and I was intending to purchase a new set. I did notice however that there was a 3 year warranty and I contacted the seller via Amazon just to see what my options were. I was delighted to receive an immediate response offering to replace the phones with a new set without question and these duly arrived within a couple of days. I am extremely impressed as in view of the usage I have had from these and the low price I paid I would not have grumbled at buying a new set even within the warranty period. I wish I could add a 6th star!

Good quality feel and well built set of earphones
This is the second time I have bought this exact pair of earphones. Great fit due to the variety of different fitting supplied with them. A good feel too due to their slight weighty-ness that makes them feel less plasticy than others. They are clear and not tinny either although if being super picky the base is not as good as with headphones but for earphones I would say they're above par. The bit which seems to fail first on them is the where the wire enters the casing and where the silver speaker comes out of the red body. But seeing as I normally keep earphones going for a max of 6 months and these have lasted a year they are a better than normal!

Not bad for the price but won’t delight your senses.
They were a fiver so let’s not get this review out of context. Bought to use with Evercade handheld and work fine. Comfortable with plenty of replacement ear rubbers to find a good fit. Sound quality is ok. The treble is the worst part but at reasonable volumes they aren’t bad for the price.

A Seriously Good Experience!
I purchased a pair of these for a musician friend of mine- always a risk buying hifi equipment for folk with trained ears. In this case, the recipient assured me that I'd made a good call. He maintains that they are the finest of their kind he's used and he so wishes he'd had them when he was studying music. We did have a technical issue at one point, for which we had to get in touch with the manufacturer. In our experience, it would be difficult to improve on their after sales service. No complaints, only hearty recommendations for the company and their technically excellent product and first class customer service

Broke after 6 months.
I used these in the gym and they were okay. The metal design isn't really needed and makes them heavier than they need to be so they don't stay in your ears as easily, I thought getting a metal design might mean the quality is better and they'll last longer, but the same thing seems to happen with every set of earphones I get, which is the wire where you connect the earphones into an ipod/mp3 player gets messed up and either a earphone will cut out or (what happened to me) it sounds like the music is underwater and none of the lyrics can be heard in the songs (which was a very odd experience). If they had still been working I would have given them 3 or 4 stars due to the good price, however that's not been the case.

Excellent value for money and great sound.
Bought these to replace my old ones that started to crackle after 3 years! Lasted so long I was shocked. As expected the replacements worked just as well if not better. Can not fault these earphones for their price point absolute must have for any non music professional and the the colours are an added bonus. You get multiple size ear tips in both silicon and foam as well as the in ear wings and a case. Very Very impressed and would highly recommend. Think I paid Around 12 quid on offer for the red ones.

A strong design, but perhaps let down
I bought these earphones nearly a year ago. They replaced yet another flimsy set that broke in merely a couple of months. As someone who uses earphones in an overly stressful manner (essentially used every day, in and out of college for trips everywhere and at home with laptop etc) I needed a pair of earphones that were truly reliable, but without sacrificing on sound quality. Any pair of earphones that I can use for a year or so that retain good condition show testament to their design quality. Currently, mine have lost a little of their red paint coating, and the worst damage I can speak of is the loss of one metal grille designed to prevent dirt entering the inside of the earphone. I don't know how it came off, and even though it has, the earphone has worked perfectly throughout the months since. The other one shows no signs of coming off, either. The design is rather unique. It's not just that the earphones are housed in metal that makes them fit for purpose, but also the rest of the item. The wire's coating is, as with an increasing number of earphones and headsets, flat. This means it's harder to tangle the earphones, and, as I've found, they resist being shut in doors or flattened much better. Most earphones I've owned have had their inner wiring come loose from one or the other end, on the inside, and been rendered useless when one or more earphone loses connection to a device because of it. The jack plug on my Zincs is well constructed and the wire closest to the jack is protected by a plastic cylinder, reducing the risk of the inner wires being damaged. As to sound quality, these are the best earphones I've ever owned. I can't say they're perfect, not quite like the far more expensive alternatives (sets at £60+ would probably outclass these) but for the price they're astounding. Some people reviewing these have called them out for being too bass heavy or unbalanced - but I find them quite the opposite. Having owned two pairs of earphones before these, one which focused on clarity and soundstage and the other on bass enhancement, these stand out as very well balanced. They deliver both on clarity and bass, retaining highs and mids in the ways you would expect from a decent pair of earphones. Some people are also commenting on how they don't fit right in the ear or the earbuds are coming off. If this is the case for you, then buy a new pair of earphone tips. For anyone experiencing these problems, search for a pair of Comply foam tips, and try using those with your Zinc earphones. This pair of earphones does come with a large selection of peripherals including a set of lower grade foam tips.To sum up (or tl;dr,) they're stylish, very reliable, with very good sound quality for the money, and I haven't needed the 3 year warranty. Burn in and enjoy.[EDIT] I have now used two of these to what could be considered the end of their lifecycles. The first, red pair, lasted nearly a year before one earphone finally gave out. The damage done to its casing included minor denting, loss of paint and general wear, but nothing serious - safe to assume that the internal wiring became disconnected.I then purchased a second pair of these, in Gunmetal Grey. I will admit right from the off that the second set was nowhere near as well made as the first had been. Again, a grille covering one earphone came off, without any specific reason. What was more concerning however is that after a few months the light silver of the earphone pieces themselves was mobile. I could remove the earphones from their metal housing - the glue used to hold them in was no longer strong enough. I glued them back in myself, which didn't last long. In a bid to save myself some money I ended up re-soldering the internal wiring back onto the rearside of the earphone pieces and, perhaps not surprisingly, gluing back the rubber protective section that covers the entry point of the cabling to the housing.[EDITED TL;DR] The sound quality of the ZN30s is very good for its price, and the design of the earphones is fantastic. However, is seems there is some quality loss on the actual construction. A little more and better glue in the right places, and stronger soldering of internal wiring in the earphone pieces, would do these a lot of justice. As is, depending on specific unit you may either really enjoy them or have them fall apart.
