Not bad little repellent, but does not penetrate walls or drywall.
I had *something* living in my inner wall, and the HOA wouldn't do anything about it, so I bought this little guy. I made a pushpin hole in the wall (be warned:the sound will not penetrate through drywall) and the sucker was gone the next day! Took some trial and error, but I think it was worth it.

Doesn't work in my application
Rat or rats in the attic before plugging it in, and rat or rats in the attic afterwards. Doesn't seem to have any effect at all. It's installed at a height of about 6' below my 8' ceiling, and I can still hear activity just 4'-10' away from the device. I sure hope that it might just take some time to take effect. It's been plugged in for 3 days now.

I was trying to keep the squirrels out of my fruit trees, it must have been playing music because there were at least 10 in the tree, hopping from branch to branch, and eating my mangoes

I can hear it with my own ears.It interferes with mom's hearing aid!
