Winning MovesDeluxe Rook, Popular Card Game for Over 100 Years, for 2 to 6 Players, Ages 8+

This has been a favorite family game we have played for many years. A few of my of friends have been getting together for game night and I have purchased this deck to teach them the game. The cards seem to be of good quality and will last for years of fun.

These are SO superior to the regular Rook cards we were buying. We play every weekend and these are really holding up. They are made of a more durable and thicker plastic than the other cards. (but don't feel like plastic) They are a little different in shape (feel a tad longer, a little bit more narrow though I haven't actually measured them) and the colors are a bit different, but these are only pluses for all of us.

My niece asked for some good family card games for Christmas. :)

This deck is made well and stands up to hard usage. The only problem is a few of the edges frayed.

I don't understand the negative reviews about this product. I have ordered three copies of this game and have had each copy come in perfect condition. The cards are sturdy and I have no problem reading them and feel all of the colors are appropriate and easy to see. None of my cards were printed upside down and the cards feel like typical cards, if not slightly better than normal. The cards have a smooth finish. If you are a fan of the game Rook, or any of the fun games that exist that require a Rook deck to play, I would not hesitate purchasing this deck. It is a reasonable deal, includes a card tray, and also includes a booklet and score pad.

The box set is nice, the score pad and huge instruction booklet on the many ways to play the game, how to keep score, etc...BUT, the cards are not like the cards of even 10 years ago as far as durability. I bought these thinking they might be better than the Hasbro brand I had been buying at Wal-Mart, but they are very similar in durability. Very easily bent, flimsy, and wear out quickly. They will wear out after a few nights of playing, of course depending on how much they are played and shuffled each night.Nice set if you want a nice rule book and score pad, but if you know the game already and just want the cards, there are cheaper priced options out there that are the same in durability or better.

The Cards feel like other rook cards when you first pick them up but they hold their shuffle ability much longer. We have a large family that loves to play different card games with rook cards gathering several times a week to play. These have become a favorite!!!!

Once you learn to play, you'll be rooked!

I bought it mainly for the book. this turned out to be a small 28=page book and NOT as advertised a 48- page book of variations of the game

Rook macht extrem Spaß, kann mit bis zu 6 Spieler gespielt werden. Alle die gerne skaten, Schafkopf oder 66 spielen werden ihren Spaß haben! Einziger Nachteil, die Karten halten nicht so lange, also muss ein neues Spiel her!
