Best collar on the market
I have been wearing this cervical collar on and off for several years. I bought my first one around 7 years ago and have had to replace about every 3 years. My neck will never be normal thanks to a semi truck hitting me and a sloppy fusion. I have tried every brand and this is the best. I am an occupational therapist and I recommend this brand to my patients. This collar has saved my life and kept me working full time with less pain than any other collar. I do not have to wear it full time but my patients who do have full time wear agree this is the best product on the market. That being said, wearing a collar is not for sissies, it is not fun and many people will not tolerate any collar no matter how well it works. From my experience: surgery is sometimes required but it it may not make you all better, sometimes a collar can negate the need for surgery.

Cannot adjust for jawbone size
On either side of the chin rest is a raised area. No matter now high or low I adjust this, these two "lumps" rest on the edge of the jawbone and causes so much pain, the unit is useless.I'm a female and maybe the larger bone structure of a man wouldn't cause this issue. But, for both myself and a friend I gave it to, since I can't stand the discomfort.... found this to be an issue. And, no amount of padding eliminates the pressure. I have a oval/round facial bone structure.My friend has a more "square" face and it made no difference. She couldn't wear it either because of this issue.Unit seems well made but the fact that it cannot be adjusted for different size facial configurations, it's pretty worthless.You can adjust the chin area up and down, but can do nothing about how the "lumpy" part, rests right on the back of your jawbone. Some kind of "width" adjustment would have been helpful. Especially for the price paid.Try it as as soon as it arrives so should you need to return it, you can. We didn't and have wasted a lot of hard earned money as we just missed the "return" window.
