Wonderful colour ideal for work environment
Bought for use in a caran D’ache ecridor fountain pen with medium nib.The ink is free flowing and quick drying, I personally don’t care about waterproofness but guess it’s similar to most others out there in this regard. The oxblood colour is a rich dark burgundy red with tones of brown. I’ve tried to illustrate it on both white (copier paper) and 90gsm cream notebook paper for comparison in the pic.Overall it’s a great colour and not too crazy.. it’s an excellent choice if you are looking for something different to the obligatory black/blue for the office environment.Love it

Won't improve your handwriting
Eclipse is a very very dark purple. It looks black at first, but if you compare it to true black, it's obviously not. Off-black. I love it. It's sufficiently black to almost be mistaken for it, but when you look back in your notes it's a bit softer on the eye.The ink flows well, dries well. Smudges very well if you are not careful. To be honest, I am careful and I still manage to smudge.I've had it about a year. I have given up writing with ballpoints ... even ballpoints that flash or have a USB connector. Fountain Pen Power for me and this bottle still has plenty of life left even after a year. The bottle is lovely glass, the label is a lovely label and the ink is a lovely cheeky little number.I wrote this about my ink:Kind compositionA purple, sticky ink bleedsabove the pencil

Top quality ink and a lovely colour
Diamine is a previously unknown British brand of high repute specialising in the manufacture of fountain pen inks. The most accessible range includes about 30 ink colours and there are several sites that provide colour swatches, actual written examples and individual comments on the entire range which includes ranges of all the major colour groups plus yellows and oranges. All are available in standard 80ml bottles and 30 ml 'samplers' and several also in cartridges in the 'International Standard' format suited to several brands of fountain pen.The inks are easy-flowing and not regarded as likely to clog or cause the problems that are sometimes attributed to others. Some of the lighter colours have transparency, specifically yellow, the oranges and lighter blues and greens, which is to be expected and it is quite noticeable with this turquoise which appears not to have any green elements. With this wide a variety of colours, there is basically something for everyone and all personalities. Some of the inks are more washable than others but they are apparently all water-based and most will blur to some extent if wet, in many instances very little. The Diamine Havasu Turquoise fountain pen ink is of a shade not generally available within any of the major brands and it was that which was the main reason for the choice. The brand is affordable and there are several on-line sources should you need them.

Fantastic colour & quality ink
Firstly- well boxed. However it arrived with the lid ; must have been loose as there was ink leaking onto the inside of the box. When I went to lift it from the box, the ink covered my hands. To be honest I was dreading anyone arriving at the house- as I looked like a murderer!!!! Red stained hands, a Lady MacBeth in the offing!!I wanted this colour as I looked for a deep red and not a bright one. This fitted the bill.I used this for my vintage-1935 fountain pen. It filled easily. The ink flows well and used with good quality paper I’ve had no problems at all.I’m really pleased I chose the maker & ink colour. I will certainly be ordering it again but fingers crossed- no more ink spillages!!!

People think its dried blood in colour on tissue, I say brown when writing...
I have this in a waterman carrene with a fine nib.The ink is lovely to start, flows nicely and is my first trip out of the waterman ink I normally use.I have had no issues with using this ink compared to that of the waterman ink. Yes, my pen leaks and I get ink all over my paws and this ink is easy to clean off.The bottle has a narrow opening and I can see trouble ahead in getting the ink out when the ink gets used up, I always insert my cartridge into the bottle rather than pushing my nib in and risk damaging it on the glass in the bottle. As a graduate, I decided I could now write in red as I wasn't getting my work marked anymore (maths graduate, lots of non computer assignments and exams...). This ink seems on the brown side of red to me when I write with it, which is a shame as I thought it would be more bloody than muddy in colour. But!! When someone sees the tissue I use to clean my pen at the desk with this ink on, they think I have gotten blood everywhere....

Not as red as the swatch suggests
Diamine is a British manufacture of fountain pen inks, the more accessible including about 30 ink colours and one independent site shows individual colour swatches, actual written examples and individual comments on the entire range. All are available in standard 80ml bottles and 30 ml 'samplers' and several also in cartridges in the 'International Standard' format suited to several US and European brands of fountain pen and especially most of Chinese and Japanese origin; the quality of ink and the amount filled per cartridge is far superior to the oriental equivalents. The inks are generally easy-flowing although there is slight variation among individual colours and colour groups and generally strong in tone although some of the lighter colours have transparency, as does this to a lesser degree but the on-line swatches show this to be rather more red in tone than personal use with nibs of various gradings would suggest. It is a true purple-brown with no distinct red tonality even after several days' allowed for 'curing'.Although the ink is undoubtedly top-quality, the disparity in tone is a personal disappointment, hence the minor down-marking but it is not intended to reflect as a criticism.

Good quality, good colours, good texture
I bought diamine inks out of a friend recommendation and i really liked them. The price is really fair, the ink is not too thick, and not too watery, also no dissolving needed. I liked the bottle too.I had a little problem with the deliver, but the consumer service center was very nice and helpful.I not only recommend the product as I will definitely get other inks from them!

Strongly recommended
Beautiful product. The ink is thick, dark and lush. Of course it helps that I am using a broad nib pen. I apologise for the writing. It is made up just to demonstrate how beautiful the ink feels on paper. I have stopped using the Pelikan 4001 since I received this beauty. Have gone ahead and ordered a Chocolate Brown to add to my collection so I can write on yellow / cream paper and pass them off as heritage stuff ;-)Seriously though this is a great buy. Downside if any is that the ink takes a while to dry which possibly is good because a quick drying ink will likely clog the feeder snd the nib considering how thick the ink feels. Just be careful not to turn pages or to place your hand on a paper that has just been written on.The paper is from a Rhodia dotpad.

Versatile e economico

The perfect shade of Red. Five stars for the beautiful ink
The is so far the best red colour . After reading so many positive online reviews I ordered it. And it did not disappoint me. This is the perfect shade of red. Neither too dark..not too light.just perfect red.and it so perfectly matches my red colour pilot metropolitan. I read somewhere that the ink actually resembles fresh blood..and itkinda looks alot like blood. And actually..this is my first premium ink..so I got nothing to compare with..but even so..I feel like if I had used a thousands ink before..I would still pick the red dragon as one of my favourites. I would still pick red dragon amongst all the red ink available.Well...incase you are planning to get one..go for it. You won't regret a single bit.Have attached some pictures of the ink and writing samples... however the lighting conditions of my room doesn't bring our the true colour.PS(.. writing with this ink..it feels like the pen is bleeding from all the heartbreaks the pen holder have endured in his life time..😂😉😉😉

Nice ink - even though it arrived spilled into the packaging.
Just received this ink. The ink itself is a beautiful colour and seem to flow well through my Parker IM which can be a bit of a hard starter. The package arrived later than the already long expected delivery time and some ink had spilled from the bottle into the box and was quite a mess to clean up. The bottle is mostly full.I'll probably buy a bottle of Ancient Copper again, but maybe not from this vendor.

Great colour
Fast shipping, great value for the money. I LOVE this colour! It's a rich dark red, a powerful colour-hence the name, Dragon Blood. Wonderful saturation. And it's a Diamine, so good flow, can be used on those fine nib pens and it's a big bottle with a great shape. If I ever run out, I know I'll buy it again. It's my go to red. Possibly my signature colour

Super Tintenfluss, tolle Farbe
