Fantastic Extruder for the price
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This BMG style extruder was something I always wanted to upgrade to but I didn’t want to spend the $100+ for an authentic Bondtech extruder. After trying out the TwoTrees Magnetic flexplate I found their quality to be pretty good compared to other manufactures. I decided to purchase their slim pancake motor and this Amazing BMG extruder.I was able to use my previous knowledge in 3D printing along with the photos on the listing to help with the installation. The provided instructions were decent enough for me to get it assembeIed but for beginners it might offer some difficulties. With the instructions followed and everything assembled I started my set of calibration tests. After everything was done I was able to get some fantastic prints with in these last few weeks. There is only one problem that I saw with this design and that was the fit of my Henuine E3D hotend. I test fitted a clone V6 hotend and it worked fine but the authentic ones are slightly smaller and caused me some gaps so it wasn’t secured as best as possible. I knew that using 2 pieces of Kapton tape would have been enough, and after doing so my E3D hotend was snuggly secured and that issues has been solved.

Plasitic Gears will fail
The only thing good about this extruder is the price. The plastic gearing will fail once the stepper heats up if not sooner. I purchased 2 of these to use on a custom build. The first was useless because the as you push the plastic gear on the stepper motor it will expand slightly, this causes a bind point when the motor is is use so if the stepper can push through the jam you will get uneven extrusion. The second worked fine initially but once the motor started to heat it slipped on the plastic gear. More uneven extrusion.Lesson learned. I purchased 2 with metal gears on the motor and all is working fine. The $2.00 more for the metal gears would have payed off in the long run.

Make sure it is compatible with your 3D Printer
This product was very easy to assemble and it is clear there was some attention to detail in designing it, although it is almost entirely made of plastic. However, after installing it on my 3D printer (Ender 3) and tuning the extrusion to the recommended settings, and even boosting the extruded stepper motor's vref on the stepper motor driver, I couldn't get it to reliably extrude plastic under load. Meaning, it would extrude reliably into open air, but feeding into a heated hot end, I could not get it to actually extrude any plastic out the nozzle reliably. Be careful and make sure your printer model can handle a genuine Titan Extruder from someone like E3D before trying this product. I believe under ideal use this would work, but it is not as reliable as a genuine product.

Seems to work as described
I bought this product to use with my FLUSA 3D printer so that I can print flexible material. The hole pattern of the bracket that came with the kit didn’t quite fit my FLUSA printer so I had to print another one to make it work. However, the rest of the parts worked great. I would have given it 4 stars except for the bracket issue.
