Super book, daughter loves it
Great quality book with nice flaps and cute pictures. Our toddler really likes it and it seems to have helped her on her potty training journey. She especially likes to look at the page with all the different knickers on it and choose which ones each of us in the family should wear! She gets very excited to see when the children in the book have managed to use the potty successfully. I’d definitely say it has encouraged her and would therefore recommend it to anyone with potty training their children. PS good luck 😉

Simple and positive!
This helped my daughter overcome her potty training fears - while it doesn’t work magic overnight she often goes to read it while she is using the potty or toilet. It’s lighthearted and positive

My daughter loves this book
My 2 year old loves this book, she always asks for it when she's on the potty. Lots of little flaps to open, nice rhyming and funny pictures. I'm glad I bought it for her.

Doesn't answer the question that well
It could have gone into more depth around how using the potty / toilet gives you autonomy over your own body. Talks a lot about trying to use a potty, but for a child who really needs the Why answering, it comes up a bit short, as it just says it's to move away from nappies and to wear pants.

Lightening the stress load on kids
Potty training can be highly stressful for littles ones. This book has some silly things that we can laugh at together to lighten the mood. Some terms are frequently used in the UK (ie. nappies/pants/loo); so this might be foreign to some. Nevertheless, very easy to follow.

Not what I expected, it's too bad
We LOVE Usborne books in our house. But this book is very different. While it could be great, they don't mention it uses all the terminology for using the potty that are not American terms. This does not bother me in ml post cases but it is very confusing for a toddler who does not refer to it as a loo. It also uses the terms we and poo and nappy. It was very counterproductive for my toddler. This same book for any other purpose could have been a fun view into another culture and even a learning opportunity. But I bought it to help her understand and feel more comfortable using the potty.
