I feel the handle is just long enough to make it easier to reach without being so long that it is difficult to control. It seems like it is weighted for optimal comfort in the hand. Everyone is different in about what is too soft, or too scratchy, or downright painful. For me this brush is exactly the degree of stiffness to actually do the job without being overly harsh on my extremely dry, flaky skin. I only use it on my arms and legs as those are my biggest problem areas. I would most likely find it a little much for my torso, which is good since I do the brushing outdoors in my back yard and don't nobody want me exposing more than my arms & legs while outside. (I live in Texas where a minimum 6-ft privacy fence encloses most folks' back yards.) If I couldn't find a body brush made in the US or North America (Fuller Brush, where are you?), at least I feel better about it coming from Europe.

Really amazed at how a natural bristle brush feels and how well it removes dead dry skin.Stimulates circulation and may be a bit harsh to some but just go slower.I do wish it came with a longer handle or maybe in a set with a hairbrush•••for the price it really should.I found this brush after reading about dry-brushing to stimulate the skin and remove buildup of dry/dead skin cells. I'm not sure if its designed for shower or bath use because it's made of wood which once wet will expand/contract and then the bristles may come loose. I would prefer a more stable plastic brush with natural bristles for the bath and shower.

I love this brush. I was searching for a while and had other brushes, but this one is the best of all I purchased so far. I tried to pull bristles, but they were firmly in, not coming out The bristles are the perfect hardness for me, and I have relatively sensitive skin. Just need to use the correct pressure. Skin feels great after using it and then taking shower. Handle feels great in your hand, and I can reach all areas on the back (I am relatively flexible). All around – good product.

So I think wood, better for the environment, and German, usually means quality.I live on a fixed income and have a tight budget, so I’ve been purchasing items meant to be of good quality that will last probably the rest of my life.This product does not accomplish those goals. I have used this brush exactly 3 times. Once wet and twice dry. I have rinsed it and placed it in such a way that it will dry as quickly as possible. It has not sat wet. It now has 2 cracks—one on each side of the handle.Very disappointed.

Wonderful, well made in Germany brush for dry brushing or use in the shower. I had a similar kind of brush before. This one is of superior quality. I really like its wide surface for massaging your skin more efficiently as well as its handle. You can reach your back with no problem And it’s not bulky or awkward. Will make a great present as well for a daily beauty routine and well being. I feel great after dry brushing with it!

Bristles are firm, not hard, excellent for showering, but wish handle was 3 inches longer.5’ tall and cannot reach between shoulder blades for a good scrub.If handle was 3” longer my review would be 10⭐️.Best brush I’ve purchased in many years and I’ve never showered without scrubbing. Good for circulation, cleansing, and skin.I recommend brush, however pointing out personal height/length of arms limitations.

Love a very stiff sturdy dry brush. This brush makes my skin glisten. Use it once a week at first and add additional days as your skin adapts. I finish with a warm shower and body oil. Yes, the handle is a little short when reaching your back, but handle works great for the rest of the body. Very firm bristles. Do not use on your face.

This shower brush was worth the wait the natural boar bristles are firm at first but with after your 5th shower it’s soft and you will never want to shower without it
