Wife's Response... I am writing this review because they are always nice to have when requesting an account for the actual use of any product/service to a potential purchaser. Let me first say... I Love This Thing!!! We have two small yorkies (2 lbs. & 5 lbs.) and my 5 lb., Max, is the messiest and sloppiest water dribbler in the world! I was having to literally "mop" up our entire area for their water and food "every single day." I was SO frustrated and running out of towels! I used up so many rolls of paper towels, I probably could have purchased this product 10 x over by now.*I know it is intended for travel, but this has been the PERFECT Solution to our daily struggle for two very small dogs! Wished they offered it in bigger sizes for larger dogs for daily use, seems that was a serious need I read about in the reviews online... hint, hint!*Upon looking into helpful potential options, I certainly did not want to have to place myself in an expensive position to regularly change out water filters to avoid slime/mold issues/calcium build-up or listen to a constant humming motor noise by purchasing a fancy drinking fountain for our tiny dogs. So, I read review for several weeks and finally narrowed it down to two options. Both were similar, but let me tell you why I appreciate this one SO much more for EVERYDAY use!!!First, it was nicer looking than the other one and had really helpful reviews (which I very much appreciate, to avoid making the same mistakes as others.) This also has a nice border piece that locks in the floater, which I believe really does help it from sloshing unnecessary water out on the floor while the dogs are drinking water or it is in a vehicle while traveling. Also, it is so easy to take apart and clean. It is light weight, but a sturdy/solid piece and has supportive grippers on the bottom to keep it in place all by itself. I never slosh or drip water when I pick it up to clean it in the sink each week. I simply take it apart, give it a good scrub and snap it all back together! I have not had even ONE water puddle from my dribbler, since I placed it on the floor for them.Max was uncertain at first and avoided it like the plague all day long... it was actually kind of funny watching him sniff at it and then walk away, while still looking back, as if it was watching him leave the room...lol! It seemed a little high to me at first, for our smallest, Sparta, but once she was up to it, she was just fine. She can't quite stick her little neck all the way to the middle, but very easily gets water when the floater bobbles to the side near the front. I do wish that the opening was a tad bit bigger in the middle, but If she can use it, so can a chihuahua because she is so tiny. I worked with them on introducing them to it and was unsure myself at first, but I figured if they wanted water bad enough, they'd find their own way to it... and they both did beautifully, within just 2/3 days time, they were going for water on their normal schedules. I highly recommend this product. It has held up well and I believe is made of really nice quality!Great invention and worth every penny!Note: I started easing them up to it by dipping my fingers in the middle/open part and allowing them to lick it off my fingers, while very slowly and carefully easing each one of them (several feet across the kitchen) all the way up to the bowl. It felt like it took forever at the time, but it was so worth the patience!

I recently moved in with my parents who aren't used to having such a big dog and all the drool and water drippies that come with one. I got this so I wouldn't have to follow my dog around all day cleaning up water whenever she drinks. It keeps my dog from dribbling water every time she drinks and is also easy to take apart and clean. The rim of the bowl that's removable does feel a little cheap, so if anything were to break, that would be the only possible flaw in the future. But for now, it works great!

“Edited” So I’ve had this product for a while now and wanted to give my opinion now. I do like the fact that my cat does not get water everywhere anymore. I don’t like the fact that she can take the top rim off really easy. I had to tape the rim on and retape every time I clean it in order for her to not take it off. The thing in the middle that goes up and down with the water level holds water inside of it, so not only do you have to clean the container that holds all the water, but you have to take that apart to clean it ever so often or it will get nasty.I just received this product and put it together. I wish I would’ve bought this sooner. My cat spilled water everywhere all the time no matter what the water was in. I’ve try a couple different things then decided to purchase this. It works great!! The only thing is I received the product used. You can see the greasy fingerprints on the product no big deal I just washed it with soap and water. Other than that I would recommend this product.

My 11 month old lab used to create a river after every water bowl stop. Now, there are hardly any drips on the floor! My lab figured out how to use the bowl in minutes without any help! To whoever said labs can't use this bowl...you're totally wrong! My lab is a field line, young, and a total crazy...but he never messes with his water bowl because I set boundaries and let him know what is right and wrong!The only time he still creates big puddles is when he comes inside from running around is super thirsty he will still take big drinks of water and makes some puddles. If its just a casual water break like usual...no puddles!

I like the design, the cats arent loving no flow. ITs a nice backup water, its gets hot in California

This water bowl is awesome! I will never use a regular bowl again, my dogs don’t splash water everywhere and it’s easy to clean! Will definitely purchase again & always recommend.

Works great! I purchased this dog bowl for when I visit my mom with my doodle. I would hate for anyone at my moms house to slip and fall because my dog dripped water around her water bowl. After getting this bowl and trying it out for the first time this past weekend, it works great! There is no water splashes or driplets around her water area. My mom was impressed by it as well! Highly recommend.

Our Golden Retriever is a very sloppy water drinker. There is always water all over the floor. This water bowl helps and the floor isn't as wet as it is with a regular water dish.

Dogs still leave a water trail after using but it is somewhat reduced versus a regular water dish.

I always had a problem wiping my pup's beard after drinking from regular bowls and cleaning up the spilled water! So happy that I decided to purchase this product. No more spills and soaked beards!
