Mixes well
We love the flavor and the ease that it mixes in our shaker bottles. Dissolves well in hot coffee in the morning too.

Delicious creamy vanilla flavor.
The flavor was very rich and delicious. I especially love it with Unsweetened Almond Vanilla Milk. For a while there this product was selling at a great price. It’s gone up, but is still lower than at most stores.I’ve been working out and working at dramatically increasing my protein intake, mostly vegetable protein, and decreasing fat, carbs, sugars and starches. The addition of this particular protein powder was very noticeable in both my endurance and energy levels. I’ve been supplementing my diet with protein powders awhile - years - now. I only started this one a few months ago. It quickly became my favorite.

it's acceptable
I love the flavor. Goes great in smoothies. Does not go great in coffee. Seems to clump in hot liquid and make little lumps. No one wants chewy coffee LOL So on the days when I have eggs or something that won't be good with this in it, I just blend it up in the small Magic Bullet cup and swig it down before I start cooking. Would be nice if I just just add it to my coffee. But that's ok :) It is helping me with getting the extra protein I need in my diet to lose weight. It's not advertised to promote weight loss. But my doc tells me I need the added protein for that endeavor. I figure the calories into my daily tally. So I'm not exceeding my calories with it and I'm losing weight. Try as I might, I couldn't get meat, beans and stuff to get my protein up sufficiently. So this as been great for boosting me up there. As I said, I love the flavor. it's sufficiently sweet and chocolatety :)

Bang For Your Buck!
I have been purchasing protein off Amazon for several years for some reason this brand has never listed in the search . A friend told me about it and I typed the name brand manually in and it came up . This is definitely the cheapest most effective protein powder on Amazon ! Protein powder I don’t go by taste I’m only interested in the protein itself, however this does taste good . It mixes easy and most of all it digest easily without bloat ! I’ve already ordered 2 more just a day after purchasing this one

Delicious. Like a chocolate malt!
Look... I am super picky about protein powder because most artificial flavorings and colors give me headaches. Alas, I need supplemental protein to hit my daily macro targets without eating a ridiculous amount of meat, chicken or fish daily, so I've been buying protein powder regularly for almost 18 years. Some of my favorites have changed formulas or disappeared, so I was thrilled to discover this brand and formula at my local grocery store a while back. It's legitimately tasty with just water, or objectively delicious if you mix with almond milk. Great stats, too.Do NOT get the Triple Chocolate flavor (whey concentrate) from the same company. It is NOT the same taste at all!

Compared to competing products, tastes good for a vanilla but hard to mix
Six Star always seems to have competitive pricing on their protein compared to other producers. Vanilla is one of my fav flavors in general and in general protein powders usually have a HORRIFIC vanilla rendition. Labrada's Lean Body RTD is by far the best (it tastes like a McD milkshake). This Six Star Isolate is actually not bad. It does not have the raspy unpalatable super artificial flavor of most vanilla proteins powders, instead has a somewhat mild vanilla flavor, more like protein powders you may have had in the 70's/80's. It's better vanilla than Gold Standard and Combat by far.Mixing it is another story. I use a metal mixer cup with a wire ball. I have to really shake this hard for a good 30-60 seconds to get it to mix, and even then there may be some clumps at the top. Shaking less results a huge amount of clumps that make it disgusting to drink. It does not compare well to most protein powders, especially the popular ones like gold Standard and Combat that mix near completely with just a little shaking. So on a 1-5 scale, 5 being best:Vanilla taste: 4 (most vanilla proteins I would give around a 2)Price: 5 (not only cheaper at times to competing products, you can buy smaller quantity at the cheaper price)Mixing: 2 (poor but not impossible miscibility)

Taste is pretty good.
I liked the flavor of this protein powder. It was better than many I have tried. I found out I am very lactose sensitive, so I ended up giving it to my son who uses these products, but honestly, if that wasn't an issue, I would have kept it and been very happy with it. It was easy to mix with fruit for a smoothie, and it wasn't gritty like many others.

TASTES TERRIBLE
Six Star Whey Isolate Protein Powder is foul. The Six Star vanilla whey isolate protein powder tastes so awful I'm just going to throw it away. The company makes vanilla protein powder that tastes really good, so I figured their whey isolate protein powder would be the same. Nope. Gross, nasty stuff. The company doesn't care, incidentally, and neither does the seller. I wrote to the seller who wrote back, "We are just sellers and have nothing to do with the product itself. If you have an issue with the product itself it is best to reach out to the manufacturer."The manufacturer, Six Star, wrote some bland response that made it pretty clear they didn't even read my email.I might buy the regular protein powder again (but not from this seller), but the Six Star Whey Isolate Protein Powder tastes like garbage. I won't ever buy it again.
