Hopkins 48425 6 Pole Round Vehicle Connector

If you have a Class A motor home and tow a vehicle, you need this 6 pole connection in order to keep the towed vehicle's battery charged. I went through a lot of hassle trying to work with a four pole connector, and ended up with a low battery twice on a long trip. Use this with the Hopkins 47053 cable and your life will be much easier. Don't try to hook it up without a voltage meter, and don't reverse yourself when looking at the wiring diagram. Recheck, recheck, recheck.

This product was defective as it did not include two pin screws necessary for installation. Hard to install and required time consuming work-a-rounds to keep RVing. Had no option other than make it work. Used brass screws from my broken Road Master unit even though the screws were of slightly different thread. The missing screws were for the right and left flashers and brake. In addition the screws that were included utilized tiny Philips heads which were difficult to grip for proper torquing. Would have returned item if there had been time for that option. Spent two hours to make do with what should have been a 15 minute job. The original Road-master contained brass pins and screws with dual slot and Philips heads which were easy to grip and properly tighten unlike the poor quality, hard to grip tiny Philips screws. Obviously quality control was lacking on this item with missing hardware. The flex cord from Hopkins on another order was of good quality and has provided good service. I DO NOT recommend this item. Look instead for brass pins and brass easy to tighten screws. I am proud of my self for making this installation work in the field with all the challenges presented by Hopkins.

I purchased this plug to replace one that had broken. It was a perfect fit and it functions are the same

Used this part to connect lights from Thor Motorhome to 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. Mounted easy up front near base plate. It appears to be black abs type plastic...will see how long it holds up.

Tried to work with this female plug several hours. Male counterpart would not line up. Ended up going pack to previous male/female plugs (Curt), they worked perfectly!

Good quality and inexpensive. I use this for the 5 pole controller connection on the console of the boat for my twin trolling motors. Now I also have a "key" I can remove the controller from the boat when not in use.

Would like to have a mounting plate, but a quality product

poor quality , set screws to connect wiring is flimsy , one connection had the threads missing, i soldered the wire in place but later changed out the whole thing with another one ordered from my local rv maintenance shop
