SOMETHING of this TESmart 4K HDMI KVM Switch USB2.0 port SHOULD BE NOTED About Remote Control If the keyboard cannot switch KVM, please connect the keyboard to the dedicated port for the keyboard and mouse If the dedicated port does not work for the keyboard and mouse. I am very sorry for the incompatibility of the keyboard/mouse and your computer device. In order to adapt to various computer devices around the world, our KVM device's dedicated interface for keyboard and mouse is for ordinary standard keyboard and mouse. There may be incompatibility with some mouse or gaming mouse with special buttons Solution: You can connect your keyboard/mouse to the USB2.0 interface, and you can still use your keyboard/mouse to control your computer device. However, there will be a bit of functional sacrifice----you will lose the keyboard hotkey function and mouse gesture

Doesn't seem to work with my Logitech Performance MX wireless mouse
EDIT: 4/6/2020 - Removed 1 star. Now, my Sennheiser S60 USB headset constantly has to be unplugged/plugged for Windows to recognize it AFTER I've switched. These issues are defeating the purpose of such a device. Too good to be true at this point and I have not gotten a response from the manufacturer on the first problem below. I emailed again today. We'll see what their response is, if anything. Some slight good news. I hooked up my speakers to the switch and that does seem to work, but such poor design putting the jack in the front, not the back.So far, I'm a little disappointed in this switch. I had high hopes that it would work with my existing keyboard and mouse considering they are older devices. However, this switch only works fully if I have my Logitech Performance MX mouse wireless dongle disconnected. If I have it connected, both the keyboard and the mouse go haywire. I've put a question into their support email and I'll update this review if something changes. What does work well:As long as I do not have my wireless mouse connected, switching between my Microsoft Surface Pro 6 (connected to a Surface Hub) and my custom-built PC works flawlessly. There is no degradation in picture quality and my basic Rosewill mechanical keyboard works fine (it's just a standard 104-key).What doesn't work well:As stated above, if I have my Logitech Performance MX wireless dongle connected to either the USB mouse port or the extra USB 2.0 port, both the keyboard and mouse go haywire. What I expected to happen is the mouse being rendered a simpler mouse without the extra functions that this mouse has.

Finally found an HDMI KVM switch that worked for me
I had tried two other HDMI KVM switch but I never could get them to "see" the laptops attached to it. I was hesitant to try another but decided to give the TESmart 2 Port HDMI KVM Switch a try. I did have an issue in the beginning when I was trying to use a Bluetooth keyboard/mouse with combo Bluetooth dongle but once I switched to a keyboard and mouse with separate dongles, it works well. I've been using this switch for almost two months now with no problems.

Works great, keyboard macros not supported!
Works great. Switches with zero issues, just not thrilled that I can’t use custom macros/lighting with my Corsair mechanical keyboard. It doesn’t communicate with the “IQue” software from Corsair, so I’m using a standard keyboard for now. But the switch has made my life easier. I recommend it to anyone needing an HDMI KVM solution

Bad USB connections
I was aware the designated keyboard and mouse USB plugs will only support the most basic of devices, and I came prepared to plug both to the peripheral USB through a hub. I was not expecting that plugging in a mouse through the KVM will cause it to periodically hang, freeze and then jump across the screen. I've verified this only happens when the mouse is connected through the KVM (either through the designated mouse port and though the additional USB 2.0 port). This makes using a mouse through the KVM extremely annoying, which means the KVM is quite redundant.

Mostly works well, except does not pass volume/playback controls
Nice little box, comes with good cables, toggles nicely via SL-SL-pgUp. Note that it takes about 1 sec or a bit more to switch the video, but the mouse/keyboard switch is fast. Only real complaint is that the volume/playback controls from the keyboard don't work through the KVM, which does kind of suck.

Useful
Works just as we planned for a laptop being used as a desktop.

Works great with a laptop/notebook
Works great! What I needed was a kvm switch that fools my laptop into thinking it is always connected to an external monitor even when it’s not. Not all kvm switches do this. This one does. Thumbs up!

Work as described
All work well as described, switch quickly, came with all the cables needed. Only downside I had is it is not able to wake up a computer using keyboard from sleep mode if you just switch to the sleeping computer.

Power cord way too short!
The power cord is way too short. It is barely long enough to reach from a power strip on the floor to the top of a desk. Otherwise I would have given this 5 stars. Works great with 4K monitors and with sleep modes.
