It worked great. I loved it. Loved the one handed grind. But in 3 months the peppergrinder broke. Because the grinder mechanism was plastic. I am in search of a pepper grinder with metal parts!. Live and learn!

The salt shaker broke the minute i took it out of the plastic, it wasn't long before the pepper shaker stopped working. I would not waste my time if i was you.

I ordered this because it was the only one-hand design I could find - compact and helpful when cooking. The adjustment on the pepper side basically works although it never yields only fine pepper grains from the peppercorns. There are always some coarsely-chopped granules too. The adjustment on the salt side does not work: not matter where I place the setting, fine or course, I get way too many whole salt granules at one time and never any finely ground salt. I'll keep it for the pepper side, but the salt side is useless.

I love a really fine grind and that is really my only complaint, it does a good job but it just doesn't grind all that fine and seems to be getting less and less fine the more I use it which concerns me as to how long it will last. if in a busy cooking house and looking for durable and fine I would pick something else. Casual use with a course grind preference its probably perfect for you

I bought this grinder because I wanted the ease of one-handed use in addition to having both salt and pepper in one grinder. This is perfect for having on the table at meals for individuals to add extra salt or pepper to their meals. It does a good job at grinding large sea salt crystals, but has a harder time with the round shape of pepper corns, and therefore can take a while to get a large amount of pepper ground. This makes it better for table-top use than for use in grinding large amounts of pepper for a recipe (for example pepper-crusted ahi tuna). It broke today after a year and a half of regular use; the bottom of the pepper side fell off. It appears to be fixable with a bit of glue, I have reassembled it and will wait 24 hours for it to dry. All in all this was a good product that met my needs, and it was relatively durable, however if my repairs do not hold and/or I eventually end up replacing it down the line, I think I might try a different model to find one that performs better with peppercorns.

Love this dual shaker. Seems to work great. I love the one handed grinder. Hopefully it will last long term.Update 11/27/17: After using this shaker for 5 months. It is still wonderful. As for the reviewers saying it is too coarse, possibly they didn't see the adjustment on each side or even maybe there's was faulty. I've had no issue getting fine grounds as well as coarse. I haven't noticed that it gets metal shavings in my grinds either. I wouldn't use it to grind for a recipe calling for a tablespoon of pepper or such, as it takes a bit of time to achieve a large amount of grinds, especially of pepper corns as they are harder than the salt. But for regular cooking and table use. It is perfect.I've had to refill it once. Refill is easy, just twist the top and bottom to separate the salt and pepper side, then pull out the rubber stopper. It took me a few minutes to figure out the best way to pull out the stopper, but as long as your fingers aren't too big it was easy. Filling was a little slow as the opening is a little small, but a teaspoon with fingers guiding the salt and pepper in was all that was needed. Replacing the rubber stopper was easier than removal.

If you want a salt/pepper grinder that you will immediately throw away, this is the product for you. If you like huge chunks of black pepper on your food, even at the finest-grain setting, then by all means, buy this hunk of junk. How about big hunks of sea salt? You got it! Do you like small plastic pieces coming off so that you can no longer stack these? Perfecto!It's nice to know that after a long journey from China, this product will be proudly tossed into an American landfill.

When I got the dual grinder, the part that connects the salt to the pepper grinder was broken. The Salt and Pepper Grinders still work, just that they are not connected to each other anymore. Looks like the connection between the was very flimsy.

The pepper hardly works. Squeezed 15 times to get the very small amount as seen in pictures. The salt side is very hard to squeeze and always comes out large pieces even when on the small setting.

I like the idea of a single handed salt and pepper grinder. This one seem to fit the bill so I got it.First impression: seems to be well made and the size provides a good grip. After awhile of continuous use however, the lever becomes hard to use and sometimes nothing comes out. It has an adjustable ring to control fine / corse grind but personally I didn't notice much difference. Also, the position of the ring seem to move as the lever is being used. Looks pretty easy to refill by unscrewing the 2 half from each other.For the most part, I thing its an OK grinder and the fact that can be used by one hand, its really good. I wouldn't advise anyone to buy this who has pain / arthritis in their fingers.

the salt dispenser works great, the pepper barely comes out. need to purchase a different one now.
