A smart-looking steam iron, very similar to my reliable old Morphy Richards iron of 25 years use. The star is deducted because I find it doesn't glide well on cotton t-shirts. Perhaps it's me. It's fine on synthetics or mixed fibres. I'd you need a light iron, don't get this, because although it's weight means you need put less pressure on clothing to achieve fewer creases, you do also have to lift the iron on and off from time to time. I kind of wish I'd gone with a lighter one, but that isn't the fault of this iron as it clearly states the weight. What I forgot is that in adding half a pint of water, it gets heavier still. Derr!
