Works perfect and it’s very easy to use
I’ve looked at several code readers, and this one seemed to be the easiest one to use and to read.It works extremely well, and it has so many options. It will identify the problem, it will turn off the check engine light. It runs a diagnostics on itself to make sure everything is calibrated and it gives you a menu where you can select metric or US measurements, you can turn off and on the beep For the buttons it’s a lot that you get for all these $40I already have battery testers and multimeter so I did not get the one with the battery clips. I wanted something to be a little streamline and this worked perfect.

Easy to Read Engine Error Codes
Used this on a 2009 Dodge Charger and it worked great. Super easy to follow the menus and read codes. I haven't used it for anything more advanced than this reading error codes while the check engine light is on.

Saved me hundreds
Just want to read out codes and clear them, really. Does all kinds of things I will never use but works on a new Nissan Sentra where my years old scanner did not. And then this one can be updated the next time it gets outdated. Appreciate that it is big enough and easy to see and read. Read out a crank position sensor code, was glad it wasn't impossible to get to and replaced it myself - and can only imagine how much money I saved, but the scanner more than paid for itself in just one use.

Excellent device with one issue
Excellent OBD II reader/analyzer with a lot of helpful features, however, device cannot be updated without a Windows machine (no Mac support) and there is no app either. Overall I would spend a bit more for the update capability but otherwise a solid choice for most people. Surprisingly feature rich.

Great value, does exactly what you need
Easy to use and you don't need to be a car mechanic. Was able to read the code on my 2018 328d and reset it without any trouble or even read the manual. Saved me $200 diagnostic fee at BMW!

Call it mediocre if it is so (Can I actually find the proper tool on this site?)
It's portable, It's sturdy. I guess it's even decently priced. I'm not a gearhead, never claimed to be, and if you are, good for you! Now it does scan, it reads codes (I don't have error code, just rando stalls with no clue), it does live monitoring, and the other functions I haven't really tried. I needed it for the recording function which is terrible! 29-30 phases (about 1 minute) of recording if you pick all stats on the engine, a little longer if you're reading the Transmission ECU. I need something that runs longer than that, restarting the recording every 2 minutes or whatever is rather unsafe in traffic, I don't have a Copilot who can do this on my daily work trips. Yes, there's 3 memory slots, but each does only 1-2 mins which is not good when you're trying to keep this thing plugged in until the engine acts up and you can possibly see any difference in the numbers, which was reason A for purchasing this. So they don't tell you, because that aspect of this gadget is abysmal! Reason B was the interface....[DEEP BREATH]. As previously stated, ensure you have a burner PC, because that driver and software is sketchy with a capital S. Also, make sure you're network is disabled and run it in VM, just to make sure. Windows only folks! Since other Operating Systems are less vulnerable to anything..."bad". Now since we've addressed the driver, oh god, the software!!! I've seen Government Websites better designed than this piece of .....excrement. The print function work, but if you actually print it, prepare to have a ream of paper (per 2 min report). It prints it out with having HP stonks go BRRR in mind. You can copy and paste to put it in a neat spreadsheet, but you will spend a significant amount of time, doing so, because you will have to have more than basic Excel knowledge and you better know keyboard shortcuts. It won't format it, it's plain text, no csv or anything that make importing easier. The further into the report, it also gets more garbled. So just in case you weren't already annoyed by having to manually turn a text file into a spreadsheet, the formatting gets so garbled, you actually cannot import the numbers as they get tainted by the formatting inconsistencies. After having only 2 trips, 2 memory slots today, and needed more than 2 hrs to realize that the second part of the data was too corrupted to manually import, I have to quit my relationship with this gadget. It is not worth my time as it does not work towards my needs. BLUF: It works, just don't expect a professional product. You get what you pay for.
