Basic keyboard but sounds good to me.
I accidentally deleted my first review while trying to add an update, so I’m starting over.My purchase was in August of 2022. I did not buy this keyboard from Amazon but wanted to add my two cents. I had ordered a Yamaha P71 and when it arrived 8 of the upper white keys did not work. I told my husband I didn’t play those 8 keys, but he said he paid for them, so it was returned and that was a hassle. I then decided to shop locally for another keyboard so in case there was a problem I’d have a place to go for help. I went to a local music store that’s been in business for years and looked at different models. This music store does not sell cheap instruments so I was very confident I would be buying a quality product. After playing it and learning about the functions I decided on the NUX (pronounced new ex) as it was highly recommended and suited my needs. I would consider it a basic keyboard, but it does have features which to date I have not used. If you are a beginner or just play for fun and don’t need all the bells and whistles, I would consider this as one of my options. Price wise, I find it comparable to other similar keyboards. I shopped for quite a while on Amazon and compared several other models. I also read lots of reviews and even though the positive reviews always outnumbered the negative, you still have to take them into account. With the Yamaha that I purchased there were several reviews that mentioned keys not playing but I thought surely that wouldn’t happen to me. But it did. For the most part I am happy with my purchase but again this is a basic model and someone who is a more accomplished pianist will certainly be more critical of its features. I hadn’t played in years and was looking for an reasonably priced keyboard to play for fun !UPDATE: I've had this keyboard since August 2022 and use it almost everyday. I have noticed a few issues which mostly are minor, but they are annoying and shouldn't be happening. First, every once in awhile while I'm playing, a note out of nowhere sounds. It's on the bass side of the keyboard and is quite loud and startling. It's happened maybe 3-4 times. Next, sometimes I find it hard to turn off the unit when I'm done. Instructions say to hold the power button down for a few seconds, but that doesn't always work, so I just keep trying til the light goes off. Frustrating. I have called the customer service number and have only been able to leave voice mails that are never answered and I have emailed them several times and have never received a reply. So, not the best customer service outfit, - maybe others have had better luck.I just keep telling myself, it's an electronic device, what do you expect ?

Better than. Casio 350 and Roland fp30x
The media could not be loaded. Slim design like my Casio Px1000, facing down speakers, sound is good 20watts, well made, $200 less and fit my needs perfectly see video👍👍👍

I'm Warning You... Not a Good Idea.
I owned this keyboard for two days and had to return it. The "Scaled Hammer Action" is wrong. There is barely, if any gradient to the pull of the keys. While playing this keyboard you will experience velocity issues. Random keys within your chords will sound at maximum velocity at random times. Maybe it's as soon as you start playing or maybe it's 30 minutes in - but it will happen. Random notes within the chords you play will sustain as if you were engaging the pedal for the maximum duration until the sound completely fades. The only way to stop the key from sustaining it to identify the pitch/locate the particular key and press it a couple of times. The headphone output emits a nasty frequency when playing in the higher register and there is a distracting fuzz reverb that follows everything you play. Granted, these sound quality issues do not happen through the speakers or the L/R output on the back. If you practice with headphones, however, this will be very distracting. Do not buy this product. If you're going to buy a keyboard with similar specs using Amazon, purchase the Yamaha P71. It's an Amazon exclusive so you probably can't get it from a local music store. You can trust Yamaha. Whoever wrote in the reviews that this is better than a Casio or Roland... I strongly disagree. If I'm going to spend nearly $500 on a keyboard, I don't expect perfection in that price range BUT I do expect it to function properly. Do your self a favor - do not buy this.
