Perfect for 1st generation Apple Pencil, but loses pencil features when used with 2nd Generation
📝 This is a review for UPPERCASE Designs NimbleGrip Premium Silicone Ergonomic Grip Holder, Dual Sided Design, Compatible with Apple Pencil 1st Generation and Apple Pencil 2nd Generation (1 Pack, Mint).⚠️ First of all, this grip will work with the Apple Pencil 2nd Generation. However, it cannot attach itself to the magnet on the side of your iPad and, therefore, cannot be charged with the grip on. Depending on how low you have the grip, you may also lose the double-tap functionality. Because the 1st generation of Apple Pencil doesn't have the double-tap feature and is charged via a lightning connector at the top, this makes it perfect for use with the 1st gen without any loss of functionality. So be aware of this before buying.📦 The item came well packaged in a sealed plastic envelope that was easy to tear open. The outside packaging provided by Amazon was again a little excessive for such a small item.Things I like:✔️ I suffer badly from writer's callus, and when writing for long periods, my skin gets bumpy and red and is painful; this does help to alleviate SOME of that discomfort but not all.✔️ Is a nice tight fit onto the apple pencil. It can still be moved up and down with a little force, but there's no chance of it slipping off.✔️ It has a nice smooth finish with no lumps or bumps and is soft against the skin.✔️ Some nice striking colour options to choose from, and more importantly, you pay the same price no matter the colour.Things I don't like:❌ I can sometimes find this difficult to remove when I need to charge my pencil. Because it is designed to stay put, it can be difficult, and it certainly isn't just as easy as slipping it on and off, not in my experience anyway.❌ Because I have to remove the grip to charge my pencil, I can sometimes just completely forget to put it back on again, and on occasion have lost it. It would be nice to see a grip solution that can stay on all of the time and allow for charging, but this is a design limitation with the pencil itself really. The bottom line:🔻 If like me you suffer from a callus, or other pain when you are writing, this will help to alleviate some of that. It sounds pretty obvious but it's grippy so it certainly won't just come off without you having to exert some force to actually remove it, and provides some soft comfort for people who write a lot. Bear in mind however that you may lose your double-tap functionality with the 2nd gen apple pencil and need to remove it to charge it. So if you have a 1st gen, this is pretty much perfect and provides a little added support and grip for your everyday writing needs.😊 Reviews like this one always help me to make a purchase decision. I love it
I was dubious because I thought its a bit of plastic and a bit expensive for what it is. But it has made it so much easier to hold the apple pencil, and so much easier to control. My hand doesn't get cramps so quickly and I always notice if I haven't been using it.The only downside is you cant leave it on it the magnetic charging doesn't work with it on and it won't stick to the ipad so I will probably lose it before long 😅 other than that great product

Easier to Hold
This grip for the Apple Pencil is wonderful if you have arthritis, carpal tunnel or spend a lot of time using a digital pen/stylus and tablet. The grip itself isn't particularly squishy, it's firm but it does help you maintain a comfortable grip and hand posture on your pencil. Only downside is that it is a little bit pricey for what it does.

This is the grip you want, search over
I use the Apple Pencil for drawing and I needed a thicker grip for long sessions, after trying out many grips this is by far the best.- It's the most Wacom like grip I've tried- Feels smooth and slightly soft- It's easy to slide on and slide off for charging the 2nd Gen Pencil and stays in-place when on- The packaging was very good- No consIf you want a grip then this is it, search over.

It’s ok. Not very comfortable for longterm use.
It’s okay if you’re looking for something to just make gripping the pencil easier.. but I got this because my fingers start to hurt after a while of drawing on my iPad. Normal pencil grips have sort of grooves in them for your fingers, whereas this one is just completely flat. It’s more so a cover for your pencil rather than a grip, I would say.It still is okay but it’s not ‘comfortable’. I can’t draw with this for any longer than I can the pencil on it’s own. Will be looking for a better alternative but the product is as described, it just didn’t work out for me.

An alright product.
The grip was not as soft/squishy as I was expecting and i think that near £11 pounds for too is a bit overpriced. I do like the dark green colour I got though.

The only viable solution to add a sleeve to the Apple Pencil 2nd Generation
I am a professional digital artist, using my iPad Pro as a tool of the trade. I used a 1st gen Apple Pencil with a sleeve for over 3 years before switching to the new iPad Pro and thus adopting a 2nd gen Pencil. The 2nd Gen has a particular shape with a flat side, because it has to be attached to the iPad side for charging. Thus, no rubber sleeve fits the pencil without interfering with the charging, or at least no sleeve thick enough to be comfortable. I bought this sleeve because I can put it easily when I draw and pull it off when I want to attach the pencil for charging. Not the optimal option perhaps, but the only functional way.
