1yr and 6 mos... still using it

I bought this tea set back in April 2022 and I've been using it daily. It's now Oct of 2023 and I stopped by to buy a replacement lid (my niece who visited, shattered my lid a while back), and since I'm here looking at their products, I figured it's about time I left a review. I've had this tea set for almost a year and a half now, with regular daily use. It still functions as great today as the first day I got it. The glass is thick, no imperfections, and good quality. (My little niece shattered it by dropping the lid from high up onto the hard floor, which no matter how sturdy the glass, is unlikely to withstand that fall.)I've been using random silicone lids from in the house, thinking they probably don't sell replacement pieces, I'd probably have to buy the whole thing again. (Which I probably would've because that's how much I like this tea set.)But lo and behold, they offer replacement lids! Excellent! So while I happily await my replacement lid, let me come here and leave a 5 star review for this tea set that works today as great as it did the first day, under daily use, and is well made. I highly recommend this functional and brilliantly designed tea set, as an owner for almost 1 and half years, under daily use. And! If you ever need replacement pieces, it's available from them. That's great after-sales customer support in my book.

10/10 would recommend

The media could not be loaded. Great teapot. After coming back from Taiwan, a regret is not buying a teapot there. But found this on Amazon and it works great! Love the magnetic ball inside that allows the liquid to fall. Cool contraption!

So far so good!

The media could not be loaded. The teapot just arrived, and I haven't actually made tea with it yet, but it seems to work as advertised (and is as attractive IRL as it looks in the pictures).(Visually attractive. Also magnetically attractive.)(apologies for the pun)(not really, though)Some notes:It holds about 10 ounces, roughly the same as a standard (US) mug. I didn't order the little cups, but they're probably espresso/shotglass sized. There's a round silicone pad which came folded in half, which I assume goes on top of the glass plate & under the pitcher. The glassware was very well packed. The magnet (and what I assume is a spare metal filter, because the brewing compartment had one already installed) were in a tape-sealed compartment in the styrofoam packing. It took some figuring out how to get the magnet into the compartment, so I took a video for future reference. Also: even though it looks like you can pop that silicone thingy out with your pinkie finger, don't! Because you will temporarily get your finger stuck and then panic because no one else is home right now and what if it doesn't come off would this be ridiculous enough to make a good emergency room anecdote or is it just foolish which would be worseso. Use something blunt which won't risk scratching the glass or having to explain to the uber driver why there's a weird glass thing on your finger. I used a wooden chopstick, it's in the video.I'm looking forward to using this tomorrow for my morning cup.

Really neat looking - small capacity

I love how nice this teapot set looks. It makes me feel fancy to use it. However, it is very small. It only holds maybe 8-10 oz of liquid. The bottom part where the water drops once you connect the magnet is oddly shaped. It serves as a teapot because it has a spout, but I feel like it would be more functional if it were a cup. I'm not dissatisfied, though. Truthfully, this is something you buy for aesthetics and not functionality.

Works great!

The media could not be loaded. A number of reviews have complained that the gaiwan leaks even when the handle is not in place. That was not the case for me. If you experience this, be sure that (a) the rubber gasket is present and undamaged (there is a clear/translucent rubber gasket that goes at the bottom of the gaiwan (the top section), atop which the ball sits - if your ball is sitting on naked glass, then of course it will leak), (b) the gasket is inserted correctly (the smaller end is the end that should be outside/underneath the gaiwan; the larger end sits inside, below the filter, and (c) the handle's magnet is truly nowhere near the ball.As the video demonstrates, the flow of tea/water will still stop mid-stream, if you pull the handle away. The video also shows how _very_ strong the magnet action is. I recommend that you avoid letting the pitcher handle actually contact the "spout" of the gaiwan, as this will tilt the entire gaiwan toward that side. Instead, just bring it near enough that the ball gravitates to the side of the spout, permitting the liquid to flow. The pitcher is just heavy enough (even empty) that it will stay in place within a certain window of being near-enough-but-not-too-near.A word about prolonging the lifetime of the glass. I recommend heating it slowly, by pouring maybe a half-inch of hot water in the bottom of both the pitcher and the gaiwan, and letting it sit for a bit to warm the glass. If you fill it all the way immediately with hot water, it might be too much thermal strain. Similarly, don't wash it with cold water while it's still hot.

It is beautiful

I have not used it yet. Will let you know more once I use it.

Is the metal ball supposed to be invisible and/or transcend our dimension?

Really pretty, but the metal ball is not here. I have literally torn apart the entire package, even the foam, it isn't anywhere in here. Wherever it is, I hope it's happy.

Would be 5 but missing piece

It looks awesome but it's missing the metal ball in the middle for the magnet. If anyone could point me in the right direction to get one that would be awesome. Thank you!

Easy to clean, great use.

I’ve been using this non-stop, easy to use and I’ve been drinking more tea as of late. Great conversation piece as well.
