Twist Stool, 12 by 20-Inch, Walnut

This is a beautiful and sturdy end table/stool. It arrived earlier than originally expected, packaged in a double box with reinforcement on all corners, and is quite heavy. Both the top & bottom have cracks in the wood, but that’s to be expected. I highly recommend and would repurchase if the crack doesn’t bother you.

I was quite reticent about ordering this stool - pedestal - table. The reviews about its cracks, irregularities, and such really made me think hard about doing this. It was Amazon's return policy that convinced me to risk it.Absolutely the right thing to do. It is a piece of art work carved out of natures heart. The rings of the tree from whence it was born are amazing to view and proof of where it came from. Mine is a rich walnut color with just enough grain in the wood to make you realize that this is the heart of a full sized tree. I am an avid Bonsai-ist and have found the perfect pedestal to display my best pieces. The cost of $130 is minimal when compared to Bonsais going for 500-2500 $ or more. I will probably get a couple more and don't mind if they match, in fact, I hope that they are different.You have to admire the skills of the Taiwanese artist that carve these stools so interestingly. This side or accent table is pretty awesome. It is a statement or conversation piece wherever you place it. The natural wood colors are beautiful, the shape is amazing and you can turn it which ever way you'd like. I consider this to be a piece of art work rather than a side table to my couch. I love it. I can see this piece being used in so many places throughout the house; side or accent table, plant stand, in the office, in the bedroom or even the bathroom. I would protect it and use it seasonally in the back yard as well. It is a beautiful piece and I'm glad I purchased it.

Bought several. All unique as per directions. Some cracks should be expected but that’s part of their original beauty. They do not come off a machined line. They will differ slightly, thank goodness for that. They take linseed oil well to control dryness and stay looking nice. The humidity of your environment will greatly effect all wood, even painted or stained as well as natural. Other seed based oils may be available in your area. Talk to the paint guy you know. We have gone to IPE Oil for all our decking and outdoor wood. It is $$, but never drys out like teak oil ripoffs. We keep the six stools in covered deck or around the inside fireplace in winter. They go well with timber and stone structures. Great looking against our outside bark siding. Oil once a year and Embrace their uniqueness.

Very solid and very cool. Ordered two and expected some variation due to grains, but one is mainly dark grains and the other very light. 5 stars for 1, but if you want matching pairs only 4 stars....

This table is very solid, looks great with my modern decor. It gets a lot of compliments. Not a large surface so it would not make a practical end table but it looks good on one end of my sofa. It comes in different heights so check that to ensure your purchase works as a side table. Very pleased with my purchase and ended up buying a second one as a gift.

This stool was purchased for my son to sit on while he plays his guitar and it is the perfect height. It is also comfortable. His room furniture is walnut and black metal. This stool matches the walnut wood color perfectly.

I just needed a little end type piece at the end of my couch. Our home is very rustic. This fit right in with our other decor. Very happy with this product.
