This novel was a great read. An historical romance that spills over into the lives of a family 40 years later.

This is one of the most beautiful stories I have ever read. In a time period of World War 2 and in Present Day, this fantastic Author has captured both timelines magnificently!Any book I read by Barbara Davis is always fantastic, but this one takes the cake, she has captured the personalities of the Characters and has transferred them from imagination to pen, to paper like no other can!The first and foremost Character, in my opinion is Soline. She's had love, she's had lost, she has suffered setbacks, but life goes on, and so does she, therefore, leaving her life in Paris, for reasons that she herself could not help, she relocates to the City of Boston in the USA and makes a new life.Then enters Rory, real name beautiful Aurora...and her overbearing Mother, Camille. But, through real estate and other reasons, Soline and Rory meet and become friends.There's intrigue and suspense.And, Secrets and Mystery.But, the one thing that stands out are the beautiful Roussel Wedding Gowns, that which is completely created by hand with Needle and Thread. And, it is said that any Bride who wears this gown on her Wedding Day is guaranteed a Happy Ending.But, we shall see what Secrets are to be uncovered, what Mystery the Story holds.And, What disappointments these two ladies have suffered, and Why? And, why, if any, what ties that bind, may be linked to bring them together?This is a Great Book, full of Mystery and Intrigue...I find it absolutely Mesmerizing!But, I feel like there's no going wrong by picking up a book by Barbara Davis-author 💙❤ And, I feel like this could be the Best one ever. Barbara Davis outdid herself on this one.

Barbara Davis has written a book that once you start reading it you will not want to put it down. The two main characters, Soline and Aurora(Rory), meet up by chance when Rory wants to use Soline's house that has been sitting empty for a few years due to a fire that took place in it. As Rory is going through the house she discovers a box that belongs to Soline and wants to return it. From that point on a friendship starts that will grow to something more than friendship. Soline and Rory have both suffered losses in their lives that are similar in nature. Once you read this book you will not forget it.
