Such a small thin book!
I returned this for a refund. The book is tiny. It’s smaller than most books and doesn’t have many pages. It’s more like a hard cover pamphlet. This could be added to another book as a chapter, but shouldn’t have been published as it’s own book and sold for $22 AUD (on special from $29).I didn’t read the content, but I was very disappointed when I opened my parcel and saw the book size. It couldn’t possibly have much information in it.I’d pay maybe $6-8 for this, but for $22 I want a refund

A succinct read
A succinct read. Points out the obvious fact there is no proven reversal of any cardio vascular diseases by low carb diets. Worth the price alone for the reference to 'Low carbohydrate diets and all cause mortality: a systematic review and meta-analysis of observational studies' by Noto H, Goto A, Tsujimoto T and Noda M. Colin Campbell also deals with Richard Taubes in a very scholarly way and points out all research into Paleolithic eating is at best conjectural. A dear friend of mine has just had a major stroke after 2 years on a low carb high meat diet and whilst it cannot be 100% proven that the diet was to blame it is from the information in 'The Low Carb Fraud' where I can begin to reasonably point the finger..

Well-explained book about the low-carb fraudI read it in a few hours, very interesting and easy to read , I highly recommand all the Dr Campbell's books.

A must read for the health conscious
Excellent book. Quick read. Impactful. "Carbs" are our ally. Carbs make us healthy. These low carb, high fat, meat advocates are frauds and this book shows why.

butter is good for you
This book explains the reasons why we only hear about how carbs make you fat, butter is good for you, and eggs and bacon are weight loss foods. It is mind blowing to me that the EXACT OPPOSITE of our "common sense" ideas about dieting and health turn out to be true--and there is a reason. They don't want you to know the truth. Ha. The meat and dairy industries would crumble and we would no longer kill 8.1 billion animals a year for food. Many industries in fact would go out of business if people knew how simple it was to improve their health. THAT Is why we are told the opposite of the truth. This book goes into all this in fascinating detail even though its very short and can be read in a few hours.I lost 20 pounds on a low fat high carb vegan diet after trying to lose weight on the opposite--low carb--diets for years but never being able to starve myself for long enough. It is truly fascinating the lengths people will go to to stop the truth about whole food vegan diets from getting out there. I highly recommend this very short informative book.
