Had kept this plugged in dark areas for over a month - did not trap any of the flying fruit flies and mosquitoes.

Does not work

High quality plastic material mosquito zapper , for best result close the room lights and open the devices with blue lights , it attract the flying insects to it .

Not good only decor

Got these a few days back, I used it on the same day, turned off the lights, and all 4 already have several dead flies in them. It works wonders.Note that in order to get the most effectiveness out of these zappers, you'll want to place them in a room where there aren't any other bright lights that will overpower the UV light from the zapper, otherwise the bugs will likely be attracted to those other lights rather than the zappers.No idea as to the longevity, but so far I am pleased
