I got these for shucking oysters and they worked well. The one thing that can't do is stop blunt force pokes, that is something that doesn't penetrate but just jabs you very hard. I've also used them to protect my hands while using a grater. I could see them being invaluable for using a mandoline, those things are dangerous.Only downside is that because they are fabric they get soaked and will accumulate cooking muck like oyster dirt and carrot grindings. You just wash and wring them out though.

The media could not be loaded.  I purchased the small size. They fit just right. These give me more peace of mind when using my mandolin. Let’s be honest, mandolins are intimidating even with gloves, the food slicer that some come with. That being said, I was still cautious while slicing strawberries, but I was also more confident that I wasn’t going to slice my hand.In using these compared to the tool that came with my mandolin, I will continue to choose these. I don’t have to stick my food onto a skewer and potentially wear down my blade.There isn’t any sound in the video.

As I’ve not tried to cut myself yet I cannot say how well the cut protection works. Using these when cleaning the deli slicer with its exposed blade - avoiding the sharp bits other than wiping away from the edges. So it works well there as they fit my large hands, are comfortable and dry well when hung to dry.If at some point I have an incident where I think ice contacts a blade edge in a cut hazard fashion I’ll update as to how well the cut protection worked.

The glove is thin and allows me to feel what I’m holding in my hand. It is non slip so I don’t drop what I’m pealing. When I use a potato pealed I sometimes slip and this really protects my finger and knuckles. I just throw it in with the wash and it comes out clean and ready to use. Great price as well.

I purchased these gloves to use while handling the blade of a 10 inch meat slicer. As you can imagine, a meat slicer blade is really sharp and can be dangerous when handling. These gloves protect hands and fingers from cuts when handling. Caution must still be taken. They do not protect from stupidity! I give them 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My hands are quite big and I got extra large and they fit perfectly because I took measurements of my hand and picked the right size.

These gloves are so great! I chop a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables, but I also tend to cut myself. So these are perfect from preventing me from loosing a finger. I also feel confident with my kids cutting stuff and not hurting themselves. The gloves are machine wash friendly which is a huge plus in my book, I can also hand wash them with soap and water and air dry them.They are on the smaller side so if you have really big hands, they might be a bit tight. I’m 5’3 and they fit perfectly. The gloves do stain a little with cutting things like strawberries, carrots or beets, but I don’t mind since they are so easy to clean.

These gloves are ok, but I managed to cut a hole in one pretty much within the first week of using them. They will only protect your hands to a certain point, and they can be a bit cumbersome while trying to cut up veggies and other foods in the kitchen. I have a tendency to cut myself when using a sharp knife and hoped that these gloves would help, but they are not as tough as I would like to see.

These gloves are great, help protect hands from knife injuries, knife set is very sharp and these gloves protect my hands. Great buy

Very comfortable and protective....

Hopefully those gloves will prevent me from a cut due to unappropriate handle of a mandoline.

Seem to be good gloves just haven't tried the idea of purposely run a sharp edge on them with my hand inside to see if thay work.. but won't try it
