Q: In assembling in the mounting bracket, you have 3 washers. 1 flat, 1 locking and 1 plastic isolator. as far as the isolator, top or bottom?

Antenna on top, then the plastic washer, then the metal mounting bracket, then the flat washer, then the locking washer. The antenna has to be isolated from the mounting bracket so make sure it is centered on the plastic washer or it will short out your system and the base of the antenna mount has to be grounded. You should check your SWR ratio before talking on your radio and if it is above 1.5 learn how to adjust it. If you know how to adjust it and still can not get a good reading try adding a ground wire from the antenna base to a metal ground. Certain trucks like the Mack Granite have isolated mirrors and require the ground wire.

Q: How would you mount these antennas behind the cab of a f 550 flat bed?

You would need the L-bracket to mount to the back of the cab. If you bed has the security frame at the cab you can mount to that with a bracket.

One and it sucks it fell apart using a 4 foot fire stick antenna
