Low quality, disgusting rubbish
I thought Bodum represented quality. Yet, I've barely used this teapot and it has broken. Clearly this company have gone right down the drain. Avoid at all costs.

Very poor budget teapot.
I bought the correct teapot from John Lewis, which cost about £38. When I saw this one on Amazon, I ordered it with the intention of returning the original purchase. On receipt, I was convinced it wasn't genuine, so poor is the quality. The strainer is polythene and the whole lid assembly rattles around and is liable to fall off in use. I scoured the Bodum website and eventually found a similar model, so I can only assume that it is in fact genuine. I can't see me ever using it, nor would I give it to anyone as a gift.

Do not waste your money.
Teapot is useless. Pores in filter let leaves through so had to put through coffee filter before drinking. And lid is not fit for purpose as it ‘floats’ and you have to keep filter in place if you want a lid on the pot as for some inexplicable reason, it is permanently attached to the lid!! Also there is no seal in the lid so it serves no purpose in keeping tea warm. Waste of money. Should have bought a cheaper one which would probably have been better quality!

NOT SAFE FOR USE
This teapot is not safe to use - I already own one with a metal insert, also from Bodum, and bought this one for my office. However, the plastic insert (the tea basket) is really loose and doesn't stay in place, which means boiling water can go anywhere when you're pouring!! The metal basket version sort of clicks in place and as a result the water stays where it should be, while this one seems to be missing a piece between the basket and the pot which makes it unstable and unsafe for use.

Recommended, great quality
A smaller bodum than we currently have (is a 2 cup). Excellent product easy to use quite good at keeping tea leaves contained. (This is a balance between letting water escape quickly from the basket when filling, but not the tea). Pours well if don't overfill or pour to quickly

Not usual good quality beware
Have bought these teapots, cups for the last ten years, had this one 1 month and it cracked when I was carefully hand washing it, not pleased, as you would expect better quality from BODRUM, glass seemed thinner not good quality. Repeated phone calls could not get through or any answers, will not purchase again.

Horrible quality, not cleverly designed
The lid is loose, it moves as you try to pour your tea so you need to actually hold it in place.Strainer inside is loose as well and not fitted perfectly to the pot. You also need to put certain amount of water to fill the strainer, so you need to waste a lot of water and tea if you want to have one cup of tea.The black parts are made of cheap plastic; I dropped it to the floor and it snapped like a cracker.

Good price, good buy
This plunger section can be a bit wobbly and the interior is plastic not the metal one you'll see for triple the price in department stores. That being said this thing is a God send... The number of times I've had to fish the ball and chain can't braiding tea leaves out the pot is numerous and this has stopped all that.Glass doesn't get overly hot to the touch, and ultimately it's a brand name that is synonymous with quality.Would be a 5* but the lid can be a bit wobbly and pouring it can get a de dribbles until you get the steady pot down.
