The Art of My Neighbor Totoro (Studio Ghibli Library)

I really enjoyed seeing behind the scenes of this film and seeing how the characters were developed. If you love art books I’d recommend getting this one.

We purchased after watching the Totoro theatre play in London. Beautiful images and art work. The paper is thick and the hard back is good quality.Buying off Amazon was cheaper than buying at the venue. Not much more to say. Buy the book, read it, enjoy the contents!

The book wasnt wrapped in anything so damage was inevitable BUT amazingly it was only a few dents in the back of the book. And since there's nothing on the back no harm there.The content is a lot more informative than i expected which is good. Not only do you get pretty pictures but also descriptions in how the animation was created. Its technically informative and strikes an interests to those who want to understand further about the studio and the art work.

The quality is fantastic! No doubt a book every studio ghibli fan should have. Filled with concept art with illustrators/miyazakis notes.

I'm so very pleased with this book, it's exactly as I had hoped and is the first of many I've been saving for.I've deducted a star because the book arrived with damage to both the top and bottom of the cover and both of the top corners. I hope it wasn't sent out like that but I assume it was damaged in transit due to it being packaged in nothing more than a brown paper amazon bag. Dissapointing but it's the contents of the book I wanted so I'm not too bothered.

A very large and extremely high quality book. The print quality cannot be better and the content is what is supposed to be: a bunch of background art, sketches in pencil and watercolor and final cel art. The book finishes off with interviews with the crew with insight of the creation of the movie. A lovely purchase for sure.
