This is a very small fan but it works great. I use it every morning while blow drying my hair and applying my makeup to keep me cool. I usually use the high setting and charge it once a week. The quality is top notch as I would expect from the Holmes brand, it is well made and feel sturdy. It is very quiet and does it's job really well. I highly recommend it if you need a small fan. It's a great size for small spaces and if you want to use it while working at a desk.

The media could not be loaded. This fan is everything and I haven’t even actually put it to use yet. I was looking for a small fan to keep with me at work because I work around a lot of windows and it’s HOT these days. This fan is soooo convenient! You can plug it in to charge it up, clamp it on to stuff or stand it up on its own. I can’t comment on the battery life because I haven’t put it to use yet but for now I could say it’s very sturdy and it blows air beautifully. And I love that I can just pick it up and go. It does have 3 bars for battery life but I’m not sure how long it lasts. It also has different speed settings.RUN and buy it now

Bought this for a friend who has vintage stereo equipment that tends to overheat. It's very quiet and small and fits on the Shelf easily and is unobtrusive. Does not affect the sound of the equipment at all and does the job really well.

Decent and simply little fan that works really well. Only has one speed but does a decent job for closer applications such as desks or nightstands. On top of the compactness of the fan, I appreciate how it is build with metal parts. It reminds me of the small we had when I was younger in the early 90s. The cord is just long enough for shorter proximity applications as mentioned beforehand. Definitely helped during heatwave season during the night where I'd leave it running while I slept on my nightstand.

Excellent, powerful and the perfect size. This fan also can fit in my purse. I love it!!

I have had two of these little Holmes "high velocity" desk fans for years. The oldest one, probably 7 or 8 years old (likely older, I received it used), just died after years of excellent "high velocity" service. Because both of the fans I've had were excellent little "high velocity" fans, I wanted to replace the expired one with the same little fan.After ordering my new Holmes desk fan, my order was "lost" and I had to order a replacement for the lost order. When I received the little fan, in appearance, the exact same fan, I was quite disappointed in the velocity which was much "less" than the two older fans I'd had for years.In a strange twist, the "lost" fan finally arrived many days later. But, again, even with this "lost" but finally delivered fan, I was disappointed in the velocity of the fan. One of the two new fans had a little more velocity than the other, yet even that fan was significantly lacking the velocity compared to the two older fans I'd had for years.Based on my experience with these two newer fans, it would appear that the product is no longer of the same quality in velocity as the older fans. The difference in velocity is SIGNIFICANT between the two older fans and the two newer fans.I cannot recommend these newer fans because of the significant lack of velocity. Maybe the two new fans I received were "lemons", so to speak, but I'm not willing to try for a third one. Two stars were given because the fans were very quiet, operationally, and not at all distracting.UPDATE: I am returning the 2nd Holmes fan...it simply does not function to even the lowest expectations. I am replacing it with "efluky" 3-speed mini desk fan (at less cost). The ONE speed on the Holmes fan that I am returning has even LESS velocity than the replacement "efluky" 3-speed mini desk fan has at its LOWEST speed! And the "efluky" 3-speed mini desk fan has two higher velocity speeds!

Of course, I just got it today, but I think I really like this fan.It's portable, but still robust, I doubt it would fit in a backpack or anything, but it's quite portable.I have the large version of the Holmes box fan, it's corded, but I wanted something that could be powered by USB, or battery backup, in the event of a power outage. I plugged this into my USB power station, you know, the kind with 10 USB slots for charging various types of devices. I have my fan sitting on a dresser across the room, and on high speed, it reaches to my bed, which is good. It seems very quiet so far, I haven't spent a night with it on yet, I just got it today. :) I like the fact that it's rechargeable, and takes a USB C cord. I don't know if it will charge with a high enough wattage power bank, but even if it can't, maybe it can at least run on one, I don't know, but if so, that will be convenient in the event of a power outage. I'm someone who can not sleep if there's no air circulation, yes, even when it's below freezing, lol. My family members say I keep my room at meat locker temps. I digress...The reach of this fan seems farther than any of the portable USB fans I have, which stands to reason, because it's 10 inches. The only things I don't like, and I don't even think I'll take a star off, because they're minor complaints are the fact that the knob to turn on the fan and adjust the speed is a complete 360. Meaning there's no all the way to the right (that would be low speed on my big box fan), or all the way to the left (that would be off on the big one). You can just keep rotating this one, I'm just concerned if the knob is that way that it might decrease the lifespan, stupid, I know. :) Also, there aren't any sticky rubber feet, so I hope the fan doesn't slide around on the dresser at night.Overall, this is a great fan.
