Q: How big is the 50" version, I work outdoors so am thinking this would keep me relatively dry in rainy weather?

It's 50" from left to right edges. It's a good umbrella but you will need to secure it well at the bottom and you'll need a base to keep it upright if you're on hard ground.

Q: It the size dimension given for the radius or diameter?

Its the radius go for the 75 inch as the smaller one is 48 inch in diameter way to small ok

Q: What is the length of the umbrella when it is folded up (the 75inch one) as I am hoping to keep this in my car boot with other things as well

It’s only about 1 meter folded

Q: Can you stand up in this please, I was thinking of using it when on football duty watching the grandson through the winter months
