My friend told me she bought one of these for power outages. I had no idea how small it is nor did I understand how bright it is. But it's really very cool and will be such a help when we have spontaneous power outages or planned outages during high wind events.

Great Camping Light! Battery held for all our trips so far. Its small, can be hanged from a clip and has two different light colours (white/warm wight) which I really like

Very bright, multiple settings and rechargeable, husband and son were happy with it as a gift.

UPDATE: As stated below, the first one received died almost immediately and that was a bummer. But Glocusent quickly made the situation right. My order was refunded and they sent me a new unit, no charge. Wonderful to do business with a company that actually cares. The new unit seems to be working fine so far - after around a month or so of occasional use. I'm not certain how to rate this product at this point.. maybe three stars for the product and five for the company, Glocusent (?).. But the product might yet show itself to be worthy of higher rating. We will see. I can say this for sure: I would take a chance with any Glocusent product - they have earned that trust (and my other products from Glocusent have performed perfectly and are used every day).Original one-star review:Very disappointing. It worked great when it first arrived. It was handled with care. But this is an infrequent use type item. And when we recently tried to charge it up again - just out of warranty - it was completely dead. It either won't charge or won't turn on - hard to tell which. It's jut dead. I've tried different chargers and cables. They are fine. The unit is defective.This was a surprise to me, as I've had pretty great experiences with Glocusent products until this. Ugh.

Although much smaller than I was Expecting , this light is just about the perfect emergency light/lamp/lantern . Super bright mode , 5 brightness levels in "normal" mode , and a cool SOS feature . Also a ring on the bottom for hanging from a hook . The carry handle could be a weak point , as it seems a bit flimsy , so care should be exercised when carrying it by the handle . USB charging is a nice feature , no changing batteries , and an estimated run time on the lowest setting from a full charge is 10 hours , long enough to get thru the average power outage , but one could recharge from a battery bank or solar generator if they had one . Of course , when the power isn't out just plug into a wall socket with the included charging block and USB cord . Overall seems like a great emergency light .

Very bright, easy to use, and very much like that’s it’s rechargeable versus replacing those batteries you can never find, don’t have or the light goes dim when you need it most!Would buy again!

The light was fully charged and very easy to use. I have not had an opportunity to use it in the dark, but it is very bright in daylight. Very compact and lite weight as the description indicates. It has a metal hanging loop which will be useful as well as a flexible (rubber) carrying handle. I think it is going to be perfect for my needs.

Best portable light source I have ever experienced. I have 2 may get 2 more for summertime coming up.
