High priced screw
Would be better if it were to be made from stainless steel instead of cheap pot metal. If it were made of stainless steel, it would not have a galvanic reaction and weld itself chemically with the brass gondola. But then it might last forever, and Gaggia would sell les screws.

Like-for-like so what's not to like
Does the job and is like for like with the gaggia one I replaced.I had to break off the plastic gaggia handle to get at the old screw, then it would not come out. Broke off the handle so I could soak the screw in WD40 for a couple of hours - then it came out easily with a pair of pliars. Was rusted into the old handle.

you can buy this for about 10p in a diy ...
you can buy this for about 10p in a diy store but beware getting the old screw out needs a drill and a dye and tapping set not a DIY job
