Perfect!A very well thought out and intelligently designed tool. Everything you need, nothing you don't.Accurate temperature in less than one second, every time.Turns itself on when you use it... no button to actuate or wear out. Then back off when left at rest. No annoying beeps or audible indicators, as none are needed.A small and sharp probe tip, that slips into tough bread crust easily and quickly. Meats and such, even easier.The display is wonderful, changing orientation when going between right or left hands (as a cell phone will), so it can be easily and quickly read. And backlit so that it's clear and readable, even inside the oven. And, without glasses on. I can now use it for a split-second check inside the oven, without eyeglasses on and steaming up from opening the oven door. Then close the oven again quickly with minimal heat loss.The magnetic mount is genius, easy to keep it close at hand (on the back/side of my oven). Yet protected and out of the way otherwise.It uses 2-AAA batteries. Inexpensive, long-lasting and easily replaceable when the time comes.Pricey, yes. But as it's offered with a 10 year warranty, the manufacturer is clearly standing behind it.I suspect it will last for many years of use. A rare trait any more.I will definitely consider this brand for future needs, based on what I've seen in this thermometer.Well done! (pun intended...)

My first thermometer developed a crack from use, and they replaced it with no issues under warranty.

After the malfunction of my last two instant read probes, I did a little more research looking into the weak points realized from experence.First- The Typhur has a large BOLD display that auto rotates to right itself to accomidate odd insertion angles for proper tempature measurment. Second- Measurments are fast and accurate, certified to national standards to meet published Typhur specification. Third- Battery charge condition is indicated on the display. Fourth- The magnet that allows attchment to your oven or work surface is strong. No more sliding out of position, for me getting in the way of the oven door. It stays put. Fifth- Its waterproof rating allows brief rinse under the faucet, cleaned then dried. Also allows for use outdoors without worry of the enviroment. Lastly- It Is very attractive and modern looking. Will match to decor of may modern kitchens and appliances.Highly Reccomended.

It might not seem like a big deal, but for some reason I thought there was a grilling temp chart on the back of the thermometer. I didn't realize how much I referred to that when grilling.
