I tried a different brand, which was supposed to be think thread but was junk and went back. These fit perfectly, with thick rubber washers as seals and a proper course thread which allows you to tighten properly without the threads slipping. I have scepter gas cans don’t bother with the cheaper junk, it’s doesn’t work well.

Fit great on my metal midwest can. I believe a cap should be a cap and NOT be complicated with the spout fitments and have weak points on the plastic (your most probably still going to need to use that funnel regardless!) Love the simplicity and rugged design of it. Leak free so far!

I have several red 5-gallon containers that have cheap and standard black plastic caps. No matter how tight I would get them, I would get some leaks out of them and I had to take precautions in my 4Runner so nothing would get soaked with gas. Fast forward to these Rubber seal caps. Worked perfectly, with no leakage, nothing. I was again able to fill the container up a bit more since the gas no longer seeped out. Perfect fit also.

A quality well made gas cap but they do not fit Blitz models 50833, 5CGX or 50810 gas cans.

For some reason 5 gal gas/diesel cans dont all have the same threads on the mouths. I have purchased several gas cans over the years and didnt need the spouts that came with them, these caps do the job of closing and sealing the mouths but they dont fit all the cans perfectly. Some had to be forced on because the threads were not an exact match but they nevertheless did the job I needed them to do.
