I cannot stress enough how bitter these cacao nibs are. I do not like stuff that is too sweet (e.g. I never manage to finish a chocolate bar of the commercial brands up, nor like ice cream...I like salty stuff better), so after reading the reviews, I thought this would be fine for me. However, this is way TOO bitter, the only way I have managed to eat a bit of these cacao nibs has been by mixing them with dates, which on the other hand are too sweet to be eaten on their own; mixing them with prunes is another option. Once you do that, they are actually fine. Therefore, I am not sure whether I'm going to buy these cacao nibs again...prunes and dates are also expensive! Although combining them with the cacao does make for a great, healthy snack...but beware of the sugar from the dates / prunes...so really, I don't think I'll buy this cacao product again!!

If you are expecting them to be anything like the sugary, sweet stuff we traditionally refer to as chocolate then you might be surprised. But if you enjoy darker chocolate (90% and above) then I'm sure you'll love these as much as I do. They're crunchy little pieces with a cocoa taste to them. They actually aren't as bitter as I expected, but maybe I'm used to it after eating very dark chocolate for so long.You can also get a pleasant high from them. After snacking on them for 5 minutes you get a nice feeling of stimulation and awareness as well as a mood lift. This is caused by the caffeine and theobromine. From what I hear they're also quite nutritious.I like to sprinkle them on my porridge in the morning for a nice pick me up. They don't melt in much, but they give it a really interesting texture where the soft porridge is interspersed with bursts of crunchy cocoa flavour.

I like dark chocolate but these are bitter which is a pity as I was really hoping to be able to munch my way through them.So my advice is give them a try as I think this product will be similar to Marmite you will either love it or hate it.So my 3 star rating is not for the quality of the product but for the taste, for the nutrional benefits it is five stars.

When these 1st arrived, I thought great a superfood that is chocolate. Wow these things were a surprise. They are MEGA bitter and quite unlike anything I have ever eaten, but after 4 days of perseverance, i have grown to not mind the taste. Hopefully in a few more weeks, I might enjoy them. what i do like about them is the texture

I have to agree with the other 1 star rating, these are absolutely wretched. They are bitter and taste like solid, crunchy little nibs of cacao powder. They don't taste like chocolate if that's what you're looking for. Also, they are not chocolate nibs, they are cacao nibs. I assumed they would be chocolate nibs because chocolate is made from cacao, but they are not! I tried melting them because I thought: "At least maybe I can make some hot chocolate with them". Well, they don't melt either. They are these solid chunks of God knows what that just taste like bitter cacao powder. If only I could get a refund.

I got these to snack on whilst at work to pass moments of boredom. Well, you can't eat too many of these as the flavour is very bitter. A superfood that you can't eat too much of - is that good? I would understand if someone didn't like this but I'll go for a 4 star.

This is the first time I've tried these... And had been intrigued for a while to find out what these are like. Extremely crunchy, very nutritious. If you love dark high grade chocolate then you will like these.
