Great lock
Love this lock .... but let me qualify that. First, I updated the lock firmware to Matter over Thread. Second, I've been using home automation light switches, outlets, locks, etc. for over 20 years and have recently been upgrading everything to Matter over Thread. This means I have a pretty good Thread network in my home and the more Thread devices you have, the more reliable the network. I previously had Kevo Touch locks that were reliable as long as you had Kevo app on your phone and there was not some form of WiFi lockup or issue. In addition, I was replacing batteries a lot.The things I like about this lock is that it doesn't look any different than the standard deadbolt lock; it is very reliable; battery life if better than what I had; the battery is easier to access than on the Kevo; it works with Apple Home and supports Apple Keys. In addition, the ability to control with Siri is another plus that I didn't have with Kevo. The ONLY negative I have at this time is it would be nice to be able to see battery status in Apple Home. For that you have to go to the Level app and then look at settings for the device and at this time even the Level App is showing battery status as unknown. I would like to see this in the Apple Home device settings under device status. I'm assuming I will probably get an alert when the battery needs to be replaced. That simply hasn't happened yet so we will see.

Broken, eats batteries, limited features. Skip it.
This product has a lot of potential but is really poorly thought out and has design issues. If you are planning to use this with HomeKit, you should know that you lose a number of features from the Level app, because only level or HomeKit can “own” the device at once. You won’t be able to encode the fobs that come with the device, turn off the sound, or any of the other level app features. If you want the thing to close automatically when your door closes, you’ll need to invest separately in a door sensor and set up automation with HomeKit or a similar automation framework. The lock doesn’t come with a sensor and doesn’t know when your door is closed, so all you can really do out of the box is set up a timer. Support is no help. They just told me to use the level app when I complained about the inability to use HomeKit and the level app at the same time. All of that pales in comparison to the rate at which this thing eats batteries. After two months or so, the thing started draining new CR2 batteries within a week. Unfortunately, since you do not get battery alerts when you don’t use the level app, you’ll find out by getting locked out of your house, or by having your house left unlocked unbeknownst to you.At $12 per CR2 battery and burning 4 of them a month, this thing will cost you $50/month to keep working.I threw this thing out, got a U-bolt pro wifi, and never looked back. I recommend you do the same, or better yet just don’t buy this at all. The battery-in-bolt design is cool, but nothing else about this lock is worth the high price tag.

With the Matter upgrade, near perfect smart lock for AppleKit
I have three Level touch v1 (1 sill in use) and two Level Touch+’s, upgraded to Matter w/ Thread. With the Matter upgrade, the Touch+’s are great. Quick response and reliable connectivity. The older v1 with Bluetooth connectivity - not so much. I am about to upgrade it to Level Bolt w/Matter&Thread.For those that are interested, my main concern has always been compatibility with Apple HomeKit. And for who knows what reasons that has long been an issue (I believe because of the BlueTooth connection). However, it appears that Level (and Apple) have finally made this work! I’m sure it was not easy nor inexpensive.BTW I am trying the Bolt because I have found the Touch additional features not all that useful and better handled by AppleKit (touch lock/unlock and Geo lock/unlock). Also, being able to use existing deadbolt hardware gives better look in my case.Overall, I really like the Level Lock+ with Matter products. I would like to salute Level for sticking with their vision of true multi platform integration and making it all work.

Customer Support was very responsive
I needed spacers to install onto my door, as one of the bolts seemed to be too short, and their support sent without an issue and no cost.battery life so far has been about 5 months, however the warning for low battery if you only use the HomeKit home key, is non existent, so I'm glad I keep a set in my car.homekit integration is good, I have wired hubs, so no issues there.locking can be finicky if using the touch to lock feature. if the lock thinks it hits anything it will bounce back, and you need to lock and unlock manually before it will lock again.

Quality Smart Lock!
Love the sleek design and non-smart lock look of the Level Lock+. Integrates into multiple smart home ecosystems, and love that I can use Apple Home Key to quickly gain entrance. Highly recommend for someone looking for a quality smart lock!

Not working as expected
The design is good and it has HomeKit support but the battery just last two weeks. Just buy another brand if you don't wanna buy a lot of batteries
