Well built and sturdy. Easy to install especially if your winch mount is standard. Does need to be assembled, but the directions were easy to follow and I didn't encounter any problems. Haven't used it to launch or retrieve the boat yet, but I had an F2 on another boat and I'm sure it will handle it.

The Fulton wench was easy to install on my Stratos trailer. There was a little slippage at first because the strap wasn’t fully tight. After a couple of uses it tightened right up. Works great and a nice upgrade in appearance.

I put this on my 22ft Dorsey trailer to replace the stock one. I load and unload my Cobalt a lot and after 8 years my stock winch was starting to show it's age. After one season I can tell that this winch will be everything I hoped it would be. It is much smoother and easier to use than your standard winch. The construction is very good and looks like it will stay strong for the foreseeable future. When/if I get a new boat/trailer I will immediatly purchase another one and install it....I like it that much. It is worth the money for such an important part of your boating/trailering endeavors.

Install reel and works great. Shorter handle to save my fingers. Very nice reel.

Best to watch a you tube video or two as directions are not that clear. Insert loop through roller instead of looping. Works flawlessly. Glad I bought Fulton.

Fantastic winch. Very easy to operate. Note that while it doesn't technically have an official "free spool" advertised, all you do is put it in "reverse" and just pull. It will click and spin as you pull the strap out (no need to spin the handle to unwind strap). I bought this winch initially not being able to figure out if I could manually pull the strap out (when loading the boat onto the trailer), but none of the advertising I could find mentioned if it freespooled or not. The relative I purchased this for was always getting their strap caught up in the drum gears/teeth and chewed up the straps. This enclosed design prevents that. The aluminum design is gorgeous. I also bought an F2 dual wheel trailer jack to match!

This winch is great and much easer to crank and more reliable compared to previous ones ive had. This is a must have on your boat trailer especially if tou have a biger heaver boat
