Purchased this item for a multiple state trip. The coffee stayed hot and is very easy to pour. The pour spout is a slow poor, be patient. The clean up is the easiest for a French press that I have ever used. I will say that it will leak even if the push button is pressed to be closed if the unit is tipped over, but it is a trickle.

The best feature is the ability to keep coffee hot for several hours, which I appreciate and is the reason I bought it. The handle is a little wobbly. When you're rinsing out the grinds, don't pour it straight on. Pour it out to the side, or else can get messy. This vessel tends to get grinds stuck around the rim and spout, which floats in your coffee.

This is a work of art. I've been struggling with filtering boiled freshly ground gourmet beans since my drip machine died, many months ago. I'd be damned before buying another. Boiled and filtered coffee is better than drip, because you can control the temperature, and the beans are in water longer. However, it seemed a French press in an insulated container would be more convenient and remove more of the sludge. I was right. This is perfect. Hand grind the beans (requiring about 30 sec. for 20 g) and pour the grind into the French press. Add a little 200 F water to let the grind bloom for up to a minute, and then the remainder of one liter 200F. Wait 10 minutes, and voila, the best coffee on the planet. In combination with a milk frother, you're in business.

FInally broke my glass press after having it for 9 years and decided to upgrade but a lot of these double insulated presses are wildly overpriced. This one however was not and I am thrilled with it so far. The rubber combined with metal mechanism prevents all grounds from seeping and it literally keeps the coffee hot for hours.
