Q: Can I use my own pot?

The orchid is glued into the pot. If you want to break the pot and “replant” it, you could do so. But make sure you do not separate the orchid roots or else it will come apart and be useless. My cat knocked over my original plant and cracked the plastic pot. I wanted to try to save it, so I carefully broke the pot off the plant. I bought a glass vase, black river stones, and clear resin at Michaels and repotted. Looks amazing!

Q: Is it possible to stick one of those stabilizing sticks in there to make it look more real?

I wouldn't try to put a stabilizing stick in the Orchid container. The base appears to be a type of very hard cement, it might shatter. The arrangement is lovely, and looks very real.
