I love the way a black mist filter takes just enough of the digital sharpness off video and adds a pleasing bloom in the highlights. It is very subjective, but 1/4 strength is normally my go-to strength for black mist filters on all of my cameras, so I was happy to find that K&F made this one and it was at a reasonable price as far as filters go. It has been on my Osmo Pocket 3 lens since I got it and the video looks great. Best part is that it is thin enough to stay on when the gimbal shuts down so I don't have to worry about taking it on and off or getting finger prints on it.

Like many, I was unable to get the DJI filter due to it being forever out of stock. I took a chance on this one and am glad I did. I see reports of the DJI not being able to close, which does create a bit of a hassle for a product that is supposed to be all about ease and quickness. This filter solves that problem by allowing the Pocket 3 to close with the filter attached. See pic.It seems to be maybe 1/8 strength filter.... it SEEMS a little bit less diffused than reviews of the DJI that I have seen (not in person though). It definitely works, but maybe just not as strong as the DJI which may be a plus or a minus depending on your needs. I didn't see any loss of quality that was not associated with mist filters in general. It did create a beautiful glow for backlit sunny areas and didn't seem to affect colors at all. Really rounded out the sharpened digital look of these small sensor cameras.I leave this filter on 100% of the time, unless I am using an ND for a more manual exposure. I was able to order a DJI filter as I write this, so I will edit this review if there are any significant differences.Love being able to just leave this thing on. I can now carry the mist filter attached, and by removing the wide angle lens, I can leave an ND16 and ND64 in the magnetic locations for the WA lens and the Mist filter. This lens does it's job. I have found it softens the image slightly but in a nice way. My only beef is that it is too thick for the camera to shutdown and have the lens protected. It seems to stop that movement. So I need to remove it first which is always something that worries me as I fight the motors to get it off. Other than that, works well.

I picked up this filter for my DJI Osmo Pocket 3 after doing extensive comparisons on YouTube, and it’s been awesome for adding a subtle, cinematic look to my videos.The magnetic attachment makes it super easy to snap on and off, just like the name brand one, and the diffusion effect gives my footage a nice soft glow without losing too much sharpness.It’s lightweight and doesn’t affect gimbal performance, and it can stay on while closed, which is a big plus and not common with other black pro mist filters.Pros:- Easy magnetic attachment- Provides a subtle, cinematic look- Lightweight and doesn’t affect gimbal performance- Can keep it on while Pocket 3 is turned offCons:- Can be tricky to store by itself without a proper case- Not suitable for EVERY setting (can be a bit misty in daylight)Overall, I highly recommend it for anyone wanting to upgrade their footage with a professional touch.

Came in a hard plastic case to protect the lens and had the lens placed in a foam casing within the hard plastic case.Also came with a cleaning cloth for the lens.

Love how I can leave it on my Osmo Pocket even when it’s off. Great product!
