Very easy to replace

Very good first impressions
One of my toilets stopped flushing recently - after a little google'ing, I was sure that the Siphon Unit needed to be replaced. After finding a few decent "how to" videos on YouTube, I decided to give it a go myself. I created a short list of candidate Siphons on Amazon and finally chose the subject item- due to the fact that it is adjustable and its 3-piece assembly allows flexibility should problems arise. My order arrived today. The design, materials and construction all make a good first impression. The instruction sheet is not great but when all is said and done, installing the Siphon is relatively straightforward. Hence I immediately ordered another one to have available when the next Siphon gives problems - most probably a damaged diaphragm! As far as I can see, ordering a complete Siphon is actually cheaper than sourcing the flimsy diaphragm material to suit!

It fits
Cheap and cheerful but it fits in my 1995 loo and no leaks. Not sure if the water saver feature is reliable but I’m not changing it now. I combined it with the ‘Close Coupling Kit for Ideal Standard’ (the hole should be 2”).

I was quoted £250 to change my syphon, a few adjustments needed and a bit of plumbers putty but all is good and it works well.
