Heatmiser NeoKit 2 White Programmable Digital Thermostat for Wifi c/w Hot Water Control

I changed our hard wired version for this one. I wanted to be able to control my heating from a distance.When it works it is great. However it is very unstable and goes offline every 1-2 weeks. It is easy to reset but you need to be physically at the box to reset it. Not much use if you are 200 miles from your property. Hopefully the next version will be better.

We bought this to control our heating and hot water and it's been a disaster from start to finish. The thermostat is far too complicated and often needs tweaking to correct errors that stop it working. But the instructions for doing so aren't supplied so you have to call the Heatmiser helpline - and they aren't open weekends so pray you don't get a problem then. Also the WiFi receiver suffers from reception problems which cause it to go into a mode that stops it working. After trying to make this work for a 18 months - and spending a fortune on plumbers and electricians in the process - we're getting it removed so we can install a basic, hard wired system that works.

Don't buy this. If you want a headache with the so called Geo Location function then go ahead. In the process of ripping mine out.

As a remotely controlled thermostat for house and water it works fine, the app is simple and useable. If you want geolocation, I haven't tried it, however it's totally dependent on the mobile device you use.
