I received a box that was very well packaged, had tons of bubble wrap and tons of the brown paper that's used instead of bubble wrap.The jars were so well wrapped in the bubble wrap, that it formed a completely leak-proof barrier.Noticed something was off when the bubble wrap said Uncle Ben's, but wasn't shaped like 6, tightly packed jars.It was more like a flattened, squishy yet crunchy blob.Yeah... All 6 jars are destroyed.Considering these were so well packaged in the box, these were destroyed before placing in the box.What a complete waste

In a nutshell:Things I liked:+ Easy. This is the biggest benefit by far. While I'm perfectly capable of making a chilli from scratch (not much of a brag, I know), the big advantage of using this is that you get a perfectly decent chilli with very few steps - add mince (kidney beans if you want) and sauce. I'd recommend cooking it for a bit longer than the directions to thicken it a bit though.+ Price of about £2.50 per jar is OK. It's about £2.25 if you subscribe and save (you can cancel after the first order).Things I didn't like:- Nothing really. The taste is a little underwhelming compared to a chilli made from scratch but that's to be expected from a sauce like this. It's certainly not bad and perfectly fine for busy evenings.Do I recommend it?Yes. Quick to prepare and tastes absolutely fine.

I've used Ben's chilli con carne sauce for years at this point. It's a family favourite meal in my house and we have it usually several times a month (I batch cook so there's plenty of leftovers).This was no different. The sauce is the perfect consistency and 2 jars is usually enough with the amount of mince I use (bear in mind I make more than enough because I freeze all the leftovers for easy meals when I am working).The flavour itself is perfect, it has a little spice but not too much. This is perfect for my other half, who cannot stand any spice whatsoever. Because the "spice" doesn't really burn your tongue, it just adds more flavour.Overall I love this sauce and will continue buying it for years to come, like I already have been!
