Nicest Lock I've found
I've had a yale/august lock for a while now and it has been a constant struggle. From our previous keypad dying weekly to the auto-unlock feature meant to react whenever the phone came close not working, my mom and I were constantly frustrated. Finally, I decided to get this little addition, and it's like all our problems disappeared. Despite, some issues my first attempt at using the keypad, it has been so lovely to use. The keypad is much better than our last one, and the fingerprint works well too. However, we have not been able to add a second fingerprint. Only my mom has the app, which according to the internet should be able to add multiple fingerprints, but so far is only allowing us one. Regardless, I has been absolutely lovely.

Great
I recently installed the Yale door lock, and I couldn’t be more impressed with its performance and convenience. The setup was quick and straightforward, and the lock feels incredibly secure. I love the keyless entry feature, which allows me to unlock the door using a code or my smartphone—perfect for when my hands are full or I forget my keys. The build quality is solid, and the sleek design adds a modern touch to my door. I also appreciate the added security features, like auto-lock and tamper alerts, which provide peace of mind. Overall, the Yale door lock has made my home more secure and convenient, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and advanced locking system.

Horrible
This thing is so frustrating. Fingerprint reading is obviously just a gimmick as it works maybe 10% of the time. Even typing in a code takes 3-4 tries before it accepts it. Pretty much junk.

Very buggy setup
Once it is finally installed it seems to work well. Fingerprint reader works 50% of the time, but keypad is solid. Space here doesn’t allow a full explanation of the setup, but even the rep on the phone couldn’t explain why it wasn’t responding to Bluetooth commands from their app. Setup would fail at random, different places during installation, and would have to be factory reset with a special code each time to allow the next attempt.

Great keypad, but only one fingerprint can be registered
I bought this because of the biometrics(fingerprint) abailty to unlock the door. However, I was a bit disappointed to find out it would only take one fingerprint. Other than that I do like the one touch locking ability.I had a different brand before and the 1/4/7 keys started having difficulty reading presses and company wouldn't sell just the keypad or replace under warranty, which is why I switched to this keypad/lock

A must for the August Lock
The Yale fingerprint keypad connects via Bluetooth to your existing August WiFi Smart Lock. The installation was not the most straight forward but if you take your time and read carefully you can do it. The unit comes with two wood screws but a couple of self tapping sheet metal screws would be useful. My only complaint was that each user was only allowed a single active fingerprint. That can be fixed in future firware updates hopefully 🤞 Overall a great product that was very easy to install after you carefully read instructions. An upgrade you will not regret making. A great upgrade for the money!

Good Buy! so far works great!
Works great with the August Smart Lock System! Good to have when your hands are full and you're trying to get in through the door! All you need is one finger free

Superior to the old keypad.
Installation was a breeze. The setup process within the app was also simple with one exception. I have three people that will be using this and on registering the fingerprints, we noticed that one user's fingerprint registered with no issues and unlocked the door with no issues. Myself and the other user could not get the lock to unlock with the fingerprint. When re-enrolling, we pressed more firmly with the center of the finger and it registered both of us without a problem. The takeaway is that if you treat this like Apple's TouchID you're going to have a bad time. It's a firm press and hold and the lock unlocks every time. All 3 of us are able to use the fingerprint with almost 100% success...which is way better than using a key. I read a lot of the reviews and saw that people were having issues so I figured I'd mention the firm press requirement. Also, I was prompted with a firmware update when adding the lock so that may have something to do with it. For the price this is a great investment, especially considering that I didn't have to replace or install a new lock. We had the old keypad and it was awful....we put that one on the back porch for emergencies.
