This is a review for the Retainer Brite Cleaning Kit with 96 Tablets and Denture Brush.I have to admit that I got this item predominantly for the brush. I have previously been advised that denture brushes are the best option for cleaning hairbrushes and have been keen to give one a try for some time. I can confirm that this brush did a good job of getting my hairbrushes lovely and clean. With one head or the other, I was able to get into every nook and cranny and my hairbrushes are now the cleanest they have been since I first bought them. I do think the bristles could be a little firmer to aid in cleaning (and, as a former brace owner and someone who has cleaned other people's dentures, think that stiffer bristles would be helpful for those applications too).I have also tested the tablets and can confirm that they dissolve well in water. They do have a rather strong scent which persists even after rinsing well. I think I'd prefer something unscented for cleaning an item I am going to place back into my mouth.

My daughter wears retainers following braces so has a daily clean and rinse regime for it. I have used Retainer Brite before, which were recommended by the orthodontist surgery and are one of the better cleaning tablets around. Personally i feel 96 daily tablets as up to a 3 month supply is a little overkill. Instead we have opted to use them 1-2 times a week so this pack will probably last up to 2 years and better value for money. The expiry date is really long, up to 2028.The tablets are effervescent in a small tumbler of warm water so visually you do see and get the fizzing clean effect on the retainer. If i’m honest i don’t feel they do much more than a manual clean and soak but for convenience and the peace of mind that they are stated as antibacterial, you do get a peace of mind using this product. The tablets get to work across to the retainer for that deep clean feel.Current price works out less than 16 pence per tablet but this does include a retainer cleaning brush too, which is a good item extra item to have for an extra scrub and deeper clean. £14.99 (at the time of review) is reasonable value, they are good cleaning tablets and if you can make them last then the value does work out better.

I recently finished having Invisalign, and now wear a retainer every night when I go to bed to keep my teeth in position. Thus, I have to make sure I keep the retainer very clean as a result of how much use it gets.My dentist actually recommended Retainer Brite as a brand, and I’ve never gone back. They’re really easy to use and I’ve seen excellent results in terms of how effectively they clean my retainer.The addition of the brush is also great, as prior to that, I was just using my toothbrush to do the initial cleaning of it. Now I can give it a good scrub with the brush, and then use the tablets to really polish my retainer up in between uses! Highly recommend!
