We are really truly happy with this container. We are working to switch all fridge storage to glass and ditch the plastic. Often times, the plastic was causing food to rot, especially our lettuces, which we buy several heads a week~this container easily holds 3-5 full heads of romaine, and keeps it well over a week! We just drape a damp paper towel over them and snap the lid on. Every time we need it at dinner time, it's like a fresh salad bar, crisp and firm for all our daily meals. Glad to be clearing our home of plastics, and saving so much money on food by not having to throw it away due to rot. Priced a bit higher than I liked, but well worth it!!

Very prompt delivery, Thanks Amazon! The packaging was excellent, using several layers of cardboard & styrofoam. The capacity is large; 220 Oz. equals almost 7 quarts! The glass is thick and made of 5mm borosilicate glass. Very high and very low temps are no problem. No leaching of micro-plastics! We transferred the big Costco chicken with room to spare! (Wish Costco did NOT use the plastic bag but, I don't think that’s gonna change) The lid is heavy duty! It's thick, rigid, and the removable seal is a plus. The movable handle nestles down to become flush with the lid-surface, meaning placing other items on top is fine. Overall I'm impressed!

I just got it so I haven't used it yet, but it seems sturdy and it seals well. It should do what I need and it was a good price for what it is.My only complaint is that it is advertised as a 220 ounce/27.5 cup container, but it turns out the glass part only holds ~24 cups. In the picture it has 12lbs 6 ounces which is 24-3/4 cups, but that last 3/4 cup was a stretch and it was basically overflowing. The remainder of the volume is in the raised lid which does hold 4 cups, so I guess technically that is 28 total cups? But I want this for soup and ice cream base, so I would rather be able to fit the full volume in the glass section. Still, I haven't found anything bigger or better so I only removed one star for that.

This sturdy well made, good design, XL glass storage container is awesome and a good value for the money. The glass is very good quality, and the handle is comfortable and serves its purpose well. Fast shipping and comes well-packaged. Also, the lid seal airtight. You can fit a whole rotisserie in this container with ease and I'm quite sure a small turkey too, or pot roast with veggies. I can also imagine storing and/or commuting, for example, with a big gumbo or chilli. The glass is lovely enough as well to serve in table side. Great buy. It will definitely come in handy for holiday food storage. Thinking of grabbing another one!
