it works but you have to hold it down
this cotton roll holder does work as long as you hold it down, it tends to slide up and if you have the patient bite down, then there isn't as much occl clearance. at times its tough to work on the buccal or lingual of the tooth because the cotton roll covers the working area. I think it's best used when treating only the occl surface
