Works as advertised - With some minor limitations
Summary: This USB-C hub is a great value for the price. The flexible USB-C cable is well built and long enough to hide the hub behind your laptop. I used to have to plug in several items every time I set my 2018 MacBook Pro on my desk, but now I just plug in one cable (this hub) and I have power, mouse, external keyboard, and some USB 3.0 storage media. It's a real convenient way to use my computer at the desk. With just one USB-C port used, this device 'disappears' behind my desk and I am left with just one cable coming out of the laptop - which is a great aesthetic.USB-C: Please note this device ONLY handles USB-C protocol; so if you have thunderbolt-3 hard drives, you still must plug them into your computer separately and not through the hub. The only USB-C port on the hub is for power pass-through, but its elegant and simple - still only requiring one port to be used for a nice USB, media card reader, and HDMI accessories to be pre-cabled and ready to use. I sometimes use a Samsung T5 Thunderbolt3 hard drive to access media and backups, and I do need to plug it into a separate port which can handle both USB-C and Thunderbolt3 (this is all four ports on a 2018 MacBook Pro)Cons: Personally, I think the blue LED ports are a gimmick and create unnecessary light. I don't mind too much since the hub hangs off the back of my desk and between by desk and a wall - but if you use your computer on an open desk or in your bedroom - be aware the blue LED lights are pretty bright and could create unwanted ambient light.Limitations: Maybe listed in the product description, maybe not - but in the manual: Please note this device cannot access a hard drive over 4TB in capacity via USB-3. Also, you cannot use both the microSD and SD card readers at once, as they essentially are the same device electronically and just have two physical interfaces. You cannot use your apple SuperDrive with the USB ports - so you will need a separate USB-C to USB type A adapter (these are readily available for about $8 each). The USB ports do not provide ample current to power an external USB hard drive - so your USB hard drives will need to not only be under 4TB, but also provide their own power source. Conclusion: I would recommend this product if you want an inexpensive way to simplify access to USB devices and some external media. It's also very nice for traveling if you need to read media say from a camera or USB drives while away from your home/office. Lastly, it's a great solution for those who have minimal setups, but still want an external keyboard/mouse/display at home with just one cable to connect it all.

Have 2 of these. Very good.
Use these on newer Lenovo work laptop as well as a Chromebook. Use it for wireless keyboard/mouse USB and hdmi for external monitor. Have 2 of these and they work great with no issues. Beyter than an IBM dockong station if you don't need more than one external monitor.

Better than expected for low price
Great, better than expected, with the MacBook pro 2017 13" it works in both ports but in one of them it causes wifi drop connections, I tried to use it with my note 8 and Samsung dex is activated when the charger is plugged so it is better than expected, not sure if I should try with the Nintendo switch since I have read opinions from other devices causing the console to brick. Also it looks smaller and with a more premium built than in the pictures that is also a great thing about this device.

Works but arrived broken
Product works well, great for my everyday life. My big complaint is that when i received the product the port that accepts the charger was shifted so I had to shift it back in order to plug in the charger.

MUST HAVE for MacBook Pro!!!
The media could not be loaded. Â Highly recommend this product to new Macbook Pro Users. I bought this to use with my 2017 MacBook Pro 15' and only has USB -C ports. My main use for it is to download photos when traveling from SD card, it read my sd card and usb pen drive as advertised. Tested HDMI to connect my Samsung 4K monitor with no problems and the charging port also works great.

No offense to the product, but I don't like this leap that Apple is making
into changing the world of ports on their computers. Now the Macbook Pro has two of these. Well what do you do with all your old stuff. OK? OK! Apple will sell you high-priced replacements, and you can put your old backups on the Cloud and they will ding your bank account every month! What is this world coming to? Everything going to wireless. OK. I am not big for dongles, but until all of your old accessories break, I guess this is the future.

The most essential accessory to the Macbook Air.
I purchased this product as an accessory to my Macbook Air which I recieved for Christmas. It is essential to the usefulness of the new laptop which has limited ports for interaction with other devices. It has worked perfectly so far.

HDMI stopped working
I've had this product for about 16 months and recently the HDMI just stopped working. I have to twist the USB-C connector to try to get good contact with my MacBook, and it often just goes out or is fuzzy. The other ports on the device seem to work (I use the USB-B and USB-C port - tried the card slots once or twice but don't use).Very disappointing.
