There is plenty of action and the characters are likable and relatable. There are enough Twists in the plot to keep you reading.

The plot is fast moving,with twists and turns. Well developed,likeable characters. The description of Scarborough is evocative looking forward to future books.

Having read all the books in the series so far and enjoying them immensely, I took my time to read this one over a few days instead of binge reading it to give it the respect due! DCI Tom Raven’s character is developed- flaws as well! The roles of policeman and lawyer play against each other with interest! Plot was well balanced with developing relationships- a really good read!

I think is one of the best Tom Raven books. I love the Scarborough setting - a place I know well and the regular characters are old friends now. Intriguing and fascinating, I love the way the plot ebbs and flows, many different themes, but never confusing. I’ve read all 7 Raven books and they get better and better. I was devastated when I realise number 8 would be available until next year. I can’t wait!!

I have read all seven of the Tom Raven books and have really enjoyed them. I feel as though I know Scarborough as the books are very descriptive, although, I've never been. Will pre order book eight now.

I just love this series about DC I Tom Raven. The plots are extremely gripping. I didn't do any work but just sat and read all day. The characters delightful and interesting.

The was an excellent book, probably my favorite in the series. The plot was unique and the characters have been so well developed. I will now wait patiently until the next in this fabulous series is published.

Excellent plot, chararacters more and more developing, as a regular Ravenreader you develop the impression to belong to the team/family, waiting for Raven and Becca to finally fall in love. Anyway, you do not have to know the whole series to understand the book, but my personal advice is: read the whole series from vol.1 to 7!

Loved book #7 and the cliffhanger ending, wow!! Love all the familiar characters with the twisting plot I never figure out. Now waiting patiently (not) until January 2025.

Intriguing plot, wonderfully drawn characters, and written so well you follow along as you would a moving brook. I can't wait to read the next book.
