This is the best top coat I have ever used! I don’t wear gloves when I wash dishes or do much to protect my polish but I have been trying to get a top coat that prevents chipping. This surpassed my expectations and protected my polish for 5-6 days without reapplying! I’m sure if I did what’s recommended and reapplied the top coat every 2-3 days I could get more than a week without chips! The rounded brush makes it easy to apply and the formula is very shiny once dried. It also is fully dried (not sticky) within 10 minutes if the previous coats are almost dry when you apply. Overall I love this and am now a permanent customer of Essie!

Pretty good, but still got a couple of small chips.

So my cheap nail polish collection is not the most durable. This stuff makes my garbage polishes last 3x longer. PLUS I have really dry, flaky, peely nails. And this stuff really helps seal in my nails so they're less breaky. I bought one and then bought a second one to keep at work. And then bought another one to send to a friend. Like.... Buy this.

Hallelujah! It's not a fast drying topcoat, but it doesn't profess to be. However it's well worth it because usually my nail polish is half gone in four days and I didn't need to retouch my nails for a week with this topcoat! That's pretty amazing. I love it and I highly recommend it!

This is my second time applying. The first time, they chipped within a day… I wanted to give it another chance though since I was assembling furniture the day they chipped. But the pictures are 3 days after application. I also applied the Essie Ridge Filler base coat so I’m not sure which one is responsible for this. But my nails are certainly chipping and there’s crack or crease lines all throughout the top half of the nail. Would not recommend this product as a solution for chipping.Also, even if it did prevent chips, it goes on weird. After it dries (which takes forever btw), it almost feels like it soaks into the nail polish instead of sitting on top of it.

EDIT:Upped the rating a bit because I’ve been using this under an additional different top coat and it really prevents chipping. It’s just not good at all on its own.Original(I bought the ‘no chips ahead’ top coat. It’s too thin, AND makes bubbles ruining any chance of a smooth finish. On top of that, it does not cure. I let my nails dry for 4+ hours, ran them under cold water etc, and still the next day woke up to impressions and lines.)
